Now, we’re not saying that the Dolphins will actually use a draft pick on Pryor today when the Supplemental Draft begins at 1 p.m. But Pryor coming to Miami isn’t as far-fetched as we first believed it to be.

That’s because his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, said over the weekend that Pryor is willing to play whatever position is asked of him, not just quarterback. The Dolphins, thin at tight end, sure could use a 6-foot-5, 230-pound athletic freak to help out at the position.

Rosenhaus said Sunday night on 7 Sports Xtra that longtime Dolphins scout Ron Labadie was present at Pryor’s Pro Day on Saturday and spoke with Pryor after the event. That doesn’t necessarily mean much, but Pryor could actually have some use for the Dolphins this year.

Neither Pat Devlin or Kevin O’Connell has shown much in training camp, and the elimination of the No. 3 quarterback rule would allow the Dolphins to use Pryor, Henne and Matt Moore all in the same game.

“They don’t have a quality developmental prospect, and Terrelle gives them something different,” Rosenhaus said. “He can play quarterback, he can be the Wildcat, and they have always have an affinity for those types of guys. I’m not going to speak for the Dolphins, but I would not be surprised if they drafted him.”

That makes two of us. The Dolphins still must be concerned about Pryor’s issues in college, and the five-game suspension he will serve to start the season. And Ireland doesn’t seem willing to give up a high draft pick for Pryor, who is still very raw as a quarterback. But it certainly wouldn’t surprise us to see Ireland use a fifth-round pick for an intriguing multi-faceted prospect like Pryor.

I dont think he'll be there with a 5th. I think someone is going to take him with a 4th at the lowest, maybe even a 3rd. Also how could he possibly help us at TE? Can he catch the ball? Run routes? Block defenders?

Miami are bargain hunters . . . I can't see them throwing a draft pick in until the 5th or 6th round. That being said, they dropped a 2nd on Pat White and with the new 3rd string QB rule, Pryor could be used in some packages at any point in the game w/o violating any rules. He definitely would have more of an impact than a Devlin or O'Connell would have this season.

I would have no problems with the Dolphins using a 5th, a 4th I would be like damn, but would be okay with it in the end. A first, 2nd or third . . . forget about it. I'd be disappointed if we didn't throw a 6th or 7th designation on him.

My feelings almost exactly... I would be dissapointed with a 4th as well. But athletically he does look interesting, and at a low price, he's worth the shot.

I know most of us hope the wildcat is dead, but could you imagine him as the trigger man and Bush coming in motion? Pryor would be a threat to throw it so it would force the defense to be honest. And as a 3rd QB, we aren't worried about him getting hurt. Plus at 6'6, 230, you're looking at a guy who can actually take hits. I would hope for a 5th or later, but if they really see him as a big asset and toss a 4th at him, I'd withhold judgement until I saw how we used him.

And for the record, I COMPLETELY dislike OSU, so my opinion is very unbiased.

I'm at the point of 'why not', right now. Granted we've done well on some of our recent late round picks, but had he been in the real draft I don't think he would've slid to the 5th without someone taking a stab at him. For a 5th or lower I say why not.

I just feel Pryor is one of those players who is totally intriguing at several positions and will end up being equally unsuccessful at all of them in the NFL.

You guys are kidding me? disappointed by a 4th for pryor? Man we have pissed away second rounders and other picks like its nothing..Now a 4th is a big deal? or is a 5th a big deal? come on son.

Once Pryor ran a 4.36 it was all over.....Al Davis' addiction to speed is like crack cocaine or crystal meth to an addict. Remember this is also the team that used a 1st rounder for Janikowski, and the first overall pick for Jamarcus. It hasn't gotten the Raiders far.

lol Al Davis probably thinks he just drafted Michael Vick as his mind is 10 years behind. Crazy Al is still breathing, he just doesn't know it.
