Very Likely 7 Round Mock Draft

I may be a little biased because he is my favorite player this draft class, but I would take Zack Martin over DeCastro, Zeitler, Cooper, and Warmack in a heartbeat.

I don't mind the picks but as SCall pointed out, using the term "very likely" toward a 7 round draft projection is preposterous. Beyond preposterous.

Mock drafts always look cute beforehand. Then a few dominoes start falling in strange places and all of a sudden all the conventional wisdom is long gone, replaced by everything we should have known but didn't. Of course, there will always be the handful who assert that the actual ordering was what they expected all along.

It's unbelievable that only one previous poster in this thread focused on the "very likely" aspect. Once futurescout experiences a few more drafts he'll know to get rid of impressions like that. Even if your personnel opinion is good it has nothing to do with the combination of 32 diverse opinions, and therefore how the order shakes out.

You're overanalyzing it big time. The "very likely" part of is what more geared towards Rounds 1-3. Even that is somewhat unlikely. The likelihood that Miami drafts a starting guard and right tackle, is however very high. Trying to predict day 3 is an even bigger crap shoot. You're taking it way to literal. This is however one of the more likely mocks you will find on this forum. Don't read into the "very likely" part as much as you are.

Between the "very likely draft" and the "realistic offseason" threads I cringe at your thread titles in the unpredictability of the NFL, but I do like this draft. My problem with it is probably the targeting of a DT because I think we can wait on it. I do like Mason a lot but with Moreno in the fold that's another position I'd sit on and drafted more of a grinder in the 4-6 range. In the first I think my guy is Shazier because I think he's exactly what this defense lacks, an athletic linebacker who can play sideline to sideline and help in coverage. James is a good, logical second round target. With me bypassing Martin I'd look at a guy like Trai Turner in the 3rd and then target a RB.

RB's I like in the round 4-7 range in order: Andre Williams, Devonta Freeman, Bo Oliver, Isaiah Crowell (not likely to be on our board as I'm sure you know), Raijon Neal, Terrance West, James White, Lorenzo Tailaferro, Antonio Andrews and Darrin Reaves. (bolded are my favourite for us). Good logical draft though.

I like the OP's draft, although I think we have to address CB with at least a late pick, and I think we address the safety position much earlier.

I really like JuJuan James from Tenn as our RT. I would love to get Mosley and James rd 1 and 2. We can find a LG later or in FA, a play maker like Mosley doesnt come around often. If not a TE or WR over Mosley.

I love Tre Mason but with the strength of this draft being in other postions as well that we signed Moreno, I agree with Fearthebeard. If we go rb I think I prefer it to be later and someone with some size. Especially someone like West. For me neither Shazier or Mosley is a first round LB. Not buying it from either. I don't like either one. Mosley played on a dominant team which helped him look great which can be said the same about Shazier. These two don't do anything fantastic or have great size like Willis coming out. At 19 I think, if going BPA, we should go receiver. I think the receivers at 19 will have so much value compared to other positions. Lee is an absolute stud and so will Cooks. I like Lee more but that's almost flipping a coin. If we go OL and we are looking for a guard I would take XSF. IF he is going to be as great as people say, take him and be happy about our LG for 10 years. I actually think guys like Shazier and Mosley both fall when it comes time to draft. If we want to solve our LB problems, put Jordan on the field at SAM, put Misi at MIKE and Ellerbe at WILL.
