Jawuan James OT TENN
I like the player, but I hate how he was acquired. We could have trade down to 27 or maybe even 30 and picked up an extra 3rd. I do not think that anyone had a 1st rd grade on him and not trading down into the bottom of the 1st and acquiring more picks when there were trading partners was not smart. I also think he was taken too high, but they really liked him and he is a good player that hold down the RT spot. Like I said, I like the player.

Jarvis Landry WR LSU
I might have a higher opinon of Jarvis than alot of people, but I love this pick. I think he plays faster than the 40 he put up at the combine and he is ultra tough. I think that he could unseat Hartline as our go to guy.

Billy Turner OT NDST
I also think Turner is a great pick. He can play T or G and he has that nasty streak you look for in OL. Rd 3 was right where I thought he would go.

Walt Aikens CB LIB
I had to scratch my head when they picked Aikens in the 4th. One-I think that was too high for him to be coming off the board and Two-have we given up on Jamar Taylor and Will Davis.

Arthur Lynch TE UGA
I think the best way to describe Lynch is to say he compares to Anthony Fasano. He was picked where I thought he would get picked. Good pick-up.

Jordan Tripp OLB MT
Tripp is another player I really like. He can play sideline-to-sideline, he is always around the ball, and I think he is a great fit for 4-3.

The last two, I will admit I am not familiar with them. I also think there were better options available, but it is the 6th and 7th rds, so you can not really criticize the pick.

At least it can't worked out much worse than last years, lol :)

I'm looking at it as 3 maybe 4 starters. That's pretty good. Turner and James should start at guard and tackle. Landry might be a slot starter. Tripp can beat out Wheeler if he's as good as i hear

The Fins had a plan, and they stuck to it. I do not understand all of the picks, but if they do not work out, it will be nothing new around Davie.
I would have liked some house hold names instead of obscure small school guys.
I feel let down by these picks and I have no choice but to wait and see how it turns out.
It will either be brilliant picking or another blown draft.

Ive read some twitter rumors that Aikens can play S as well...I havent see him play so Im not going to judge him one way or the other.

As far as needs, we addressed some, not all (but you can't expect to address all considering how many we had). From a value standpoint, I don't think it was a great draft and perhaps not even a good draft but something I just read makes me feel much better about it.

"Five of Miami’s first six drafted players -- James, Landry, Turner, tight end Arthur Lynch and linebacker Jordan Tripp -- were team captains for their respective colleges. That was not a coincidence. Hickey made it a point to acquire natural leaders to place in Miami’s locker room. The Dolphins are putting a heavy emphasis on character at the top of this draft..."

That was needed and that I like very much.

At least half our draft isn't injured like some jackass use to do.

YOu do realize we had the same comment a few years ago and it really made little to no difference

This draft was half star and half small school "irons in the fire"

I could care less what initial impression are of the Draft. How many times on paper have teams had GREAT drafts and it's translated on the field? How many have had "mediocre" drafts and its turned out well?

Bottom-line nobody really knows what they hell they have on paper until the hittin begins!!!
