I think this FO is acting right by sticking to plan.

Such plan includes:
  • Add a quality QB with experience to challenge & improve Henne
  • Add a quality RB in free agency
  • Add a quality TE in free agency
  • Restructure the O-Line
  • Fortify the LB corpses
As Kyle Orton was viewed as Denver's backup QB, one that could serve to improve the QB position, then Miami assumed his price was less than a 3rd rounder.

But Denver is showing they have another idea, saying Orton is their current starter. So his price is bigger.
Also the player wants to be paid as starter and reach a long term deal.

John Elway, former QB and current GM of Denver Broncos sticked to his word giving Kyle his roster bonus and the team keep him as starter, leading first team offense. So his price could be even bigger now.

Trying to find a stable backup who might put pressure on Henne, Miami added Matt Moore, former QB in Dallas and once starter in Carolina.

Then pseudo-fans at open practice booed Henne chanting "We want Orton", In Denver fans keep

So this situation is crazy as fans want Tebow to start when it has been obvious their best passer is Orton.

Does Tebow deserve to be starter in Denver or Miami? Is he worth a 2nd round?
Does Orton is worth a 2nd round pick plus big multi-year contract?
Should Miami stay firm by starting Henne this season?

Tebow sucks. He's 3rd string in Denver right now behind Orton and Brady Quinn for goodness sakes.

This whole fiasco makes me really hate horseface more than ever. He probably thinks he's dueling with Marino or something. I hope in keeping Orton they end up at 8-8 with no hope for landing Luck.

These guys couldn't follow a plan to save their lives. Wasn't the first step in their so called plan to solidify the o-line? It's been 3 years and we're still messing with it!!

If I'm right their hope is to end with a record bellow 0.500 (7-9) perhaps and trade up for Luck.

how about trade something lower than a 2nd for orton

If we're going to tank at 7-9 why not just completely flop the season and go with the whole enchilada instead of having to trade up to get Luck? If that's their thinking we need to do away with this entire front office. We all know qb's take time to develop in this league, usually several years, and by the time Luck develops, our defense will be aged and probably not as good...a never ending carousel. Maybe for just one season we'll have BOTH a good offense AND defense

My last twitter search still points several fans want Orton out.

They see the same mediocrity in Orton that several guys see in Henne.
Last time I looked, several fans don't make the decisions for the front office let alone constitute the majority of the fan base. If fans ran the show we may actually have a team that makes a run at the Super Bowl

Why is Tebow and option in this poll???? Denver just used a 1st rounder for him and fans see him as the second coming of Christ.

Stick with Henne. Preseason starts in a little over a week. If he sucks balls, blow the position up and start over next year.

Giving a 2nd plus a first string DL for a mediocre QB with a 60.8QBR on 3rd downs and a -7 loss record over the the past 2 years is insanity. Of thos options, I'm holding out hope for Carson Palmer so that explains my "other" vote. Otherwise I'd go with Henne or whomever might unseat him since I don't see an upside between 5 and 8 wins next season with or without Orton... only a downside.
