Vick uses his arm to lead Falcons past Dolphins

Michael Vick says his critics are the inaccurate ones.

Motivated by detractors who derided his recent passing performances, Vick came out throwing strikes Sunday to help the Atlanta Falcons beat the Miami Dolphins 17-10.

Working primarily from the pocket, Vick went 22-for-31 for a season-high 228 yards. He threw one touchdown pass and had another dropped while directing four drives of more than 70 yards.

"People say I can't throw the ball from the pocket. I had to show them," Vick said. "From here on out, I don't want to hear that question -- if I can throw from the pocket."

One good passing game from the pocket wont shut them up. Next week he'll have a bad QB rating and the question will surface again.

He had an AVERAGE game and put up the same numbers our defense gives up on average. wow. Overrated.

Having 228 yrds a 1 TD is an average game for a QB. He had a nice game noone can deny that, but he's far from shaking the tag that hes not a complete QB. One game against our terrible secondary with 8 men in the box wont help either.

"You guys"? I didnt make any predictions regards on how to beat Vick. I didnt make excuses either. Im simply saying that one average game against our poor secondary wont change his reputation as being a running back with a strong arm. Did you read the article posted above?

Would I want Vick as our QB? If I could hand pick a QB I wouldnt take Vick by any means. Sure id rather have Vick than Gus.

4) I wouldnt take Vick here. He can take his 100 million salary elsewhere. If Im paying a guy that contract, I wanna make sure he can complete MORE than 54% of his passes. He does add the element of run to the game, but heck, I can pay a RB HALF of what vick costs and he can do the same job, if not better, AND not get injured and out for the year.

If I were to take a "running" QB (using the term running QB loosely) I would take McNabb, Culpepper or McNair. Actually McNair is a good example of what happens to QBs that have a run first mentallity. McNairs battled injuries for a long time now. He had to learn to be a more complete Qb and thats when he blossomed. Since then hes lead his team to a SuperBowl and was co-League MVP. Until Vick becomes a complete Qb (if he ever does) I wouldnt even want him.

I would gladly welcome a 100 million QB who cant complete 55% of his passes and takes up an eighth of our salary cap. I will gladly cut Ronnie, Jason, and Zach to make room for him.

a hater is someone that is hating agaisnt Vick for one reason or another, not the fact that hes a bad football player, cause we all know he isnt. the fact that all he does was win, Vick takes bad teams and wins. u can take a QB that completes 60% and has a good QB rating but yet cant win. im taking Vick.
