Vickerson's Behavior to Cost Him

Chances are if we are discussing this he knows what is going on

And if he knows what he needs to do and understands the consequences it will be his situation to win or lose. I have learned to be cautious about media discussions of an individual's personal behavior. Things may or may not be accurate. I personally have been involved with situations that involved Life Magazine and 60 minutes and I learned alot from those situations through observation. Maybe this is the fire under Mr. Vickerman's pants. If not, then he may have to crash to see the light.

There are bigger issues than this guy Vickerson..... 7th round pick.... the chances of him making the final 53 if he was a model citizen are less than 5%.....

Just because he is only a 7th round pick is no reason to quickly discount him.
True more 7s dont make it than do, but we've gotten some decent or better players over the years at this point, or higher when the draft was longer.
Derrick Pope
Leonard Henry
Jermaine Haley (3rd DT in rotation for a few years)
Jeff Buckey (backup OL for a couple of seasons)
Sean Hill (excellent special teamer)
Dave Moore (went on to be a starter with other teams)
Chris Green (backup DB for 4 seasons)
Bert Weidner (starting G for several seasons)
J.B. Brown (starting CB for several seasons)
Pete Stoyanovich (good PK for several seasons)
Brian Kinchen (backup TE and good longsnapper in the league for a long time)
Fuad Reveiz (solid PK in the league)
Mark Clayton ('nuff said)
Mark Brown (good ILB for a few seasons)
Jim Jensen ('nuff said)
William Judson (starting CB for several seasons)
Glenn Blackwood ('nuff said)
Uwe von Shamann (solid PK)
Mark Dennard (very good starting C for us before injury)
Bruce Hardy ('nuff said)
Mike Kolen ('nuff said)
Hubert Ginn (good backup RB from the Csonka/Morris era)
Jake Scott ('nuff said)
Lloyd Mumphord ('nuff said)
Jesse Powell (backup LB and special teamer on the 70s Super Bowl teams)

Doesn't look to me like 7th rounders (or higher) are much ado about nothing

Mr. Clean.... point taken.... still there are larger issues than Vickerson.... we rolled the dice on a guy with 4th round physical talent but 7th round overall talent.... I hope he gets his act staightened out and is productive..... but I am not sweating Vickerson .... at all.

I did not know mark Clayton was a 7th round pick, i do kno w that Frerrote was either a seventh or a ninth round pick, and he turned out ok, people even want him to start

I Really hope all the criminals on our team are not as dumb as they seem, they have one of the best Jobs in the world in my opinion, get paid very well, yet they don't mind taking a chance drinking driving, assaulting women, smoking marijuana, taking steriods, or just showing up late & acting like an ***. The Dolphins were a classy organization at one time, now I just don't know, teams need to take back control of their organizations and not allow these type of things to happen, I am sure every team has these problems, and they all are partly responsible for NFL turning into the Thug football league. But did we add any players this year without a criminal record or drug related offense?

How does Vickerson get lumped in with Ricky, Randy and even Boston?
He was charged with a P.O.C.A. offense, driving with a suspended license and Poss. of Marijuana not P.W.I.D. Marijauna, while still in college not as a professional. My God they could book half the student population on and around most of the campuses in the nation for Possession of an Open Container of Alcohol, particularly on Friday and Saturday night.

Those who are without sin (mistakes) cast the first stone..................................:D

Ronnie Brown--great character with all-world talent. Check out the article in Sun-Sentinel about him.

Clayton was actually an 8th round pick. At that time the draft was 12 rounds.
Good point about Frerotte being a 7th rounder too. He was drafted almost as an afterthought, considering the Redskins drafted Heath Shuler in the 1st round the same year. Shuler's career derailed early, primarily due to a chronic injury, while Gus the late round pick is still going.

You would think that a guy with a marginal chance of even making the team would work twice as hard. Then he acts like a turd. Lets see how he does after flipping a few burgers.

I agree. He should be happy he was even drafted.

I was of the opinion that all of our draft picks would survive the final cuts but now I am waffling on Vickerson.
