Vikings interested in Nolan Carroll

he will find #2 starter money in free agency...he's durable plays every week and still has a little bit of upside left...better hope like hell jamar taylor comes around or this could be a significant loss...but i've always liked carrolls game...take away the last 2 weeks of 2013 season and he was very solid

nobody is signing him as the number 1 cb
 
Not sure how I feel about this. He has been inconsistent, but he was super raw when he got here and has been improving very steadily. Dude has elite-level physical tools and, if he stays on track, they may get a great player very cheap.

I like Carroll as well but, have to go with Taylor as the #2 starter.
 
Of course for Taylor to start he needs to be healthy.

I like Nolan, but let someone else overpay for him. I would take Browner -4 games over Carroll.

With who the Vikings have, he'll be getting #2 cornerback money. Besides, a $3 million contract in the NFL isn't what it once was. that's literally 2% of the total cap.
 
He is the typical response you will get in this forum

If he stays with the Fins..
" He is great..Good depth.. Nice sign"
IF he leaves...
" he stinks... can't tackle or cover"
 
I'm pretty meh on Carroll staying or going. If somebody pays him $5 million I wish him all the best. But if somebody gets him for $2 million I'll be pissed.

Jamar Taylor has shown us absolutely zilch to date, whereas Nolan Carroll was a big contributor last season. My view is that you can't have enough CBs on the team. Let's not be in too big a rush to anoint Taylor. Hopefully, he has overcome his injury issue, but to cover the bases re-sign Carroll.
 
Payback for Benny Sapp.. Not that Taylor deserves to start as he sucked as bad as Davis as rookies. But Carroll is not a starter anyway. He's a good nickel back
