Volian: Phins might make move for mario williams, robert mathis, avril

If any CB needs switched to satefy it should be VDavis. Ball-hawk hard hitter and solid tackler. Sean Smith cant tackle good enough and better stay at CB where his size alone helps. Would never happen unless we find a replacement for the CB moved to safety.

This is strong wishful thinking. Claiborne likely won't get past Tampa Bay at #5, and Burfict should be a top 20 pick.

Plus, Odrick played DT at Penn State. Why would he be a DE for us?

ODrick would be a two down player and the rookie I mentioned would come in on obvious passing downs.
He has power and good speed for his size.

Who wouldn't love to get Williams here, that's for sure. Problem is that teams are always "projected" to be over the cap and can't sign their people, the free agency rolls around and they keep them plus sign others. Look at the Jets last year. They were over the cap and then spent money like a sailor in a strip bar during free agency. I'm betting Houston holds onto Williams.

Couple of questions, First, I don't like moving to a 4-3, for the various reasons people have pointed out. Having said that, would Cam Wake be big/strong enough to play a 4-3 end? & Would Burnett work at Wolb?

If I'm the opposing OC on running plays I point my 335lb RT at 265lb Wake and say, "lunch".

I think we can find other options at DE, the sad part is that we spent all this time, money and draft picks building a 3-4 Def and now we're going to do the same to build a 4-3. Odrick= 1st rd pick (could have taken Dez Bryant), Langford= 3rd rd pick, Misi= 2nd rd pick (over Gronkowski), Merling=32nd over all (technically a 1st) and the FAs are endless. You cant have Dansby making what hes making to play OLB...I dont know if he can play MLB in the 3-4 but if not, hes goin to get traded. This whole changing of the D is a fail.
