Wait a gosh darn minute….

I've been saying this all season, I wouldn't be shocked if the NFL rigs this to put the Pats in the Super Bowl and cash in on the "Boston Strong" stuff.

I personally thought that the Colts player knocked it out the back of the endzone and therefore a touchback...New England ball on the 20

The patriots only get called for penalties on special teams. I think that is 3 now

I'm sure you guys have seen plays where an offensive player kicked the ball out of the back of his own end zone before. That's legal. It's different if you try to move it the way your team is going than if you try to move it the way the other team wants to go.

It's actually not legal but the defense will always just decline the illegal kicking penalty and take the safety anyway.

The game was totally fixed. Blount punches a guy in the face and gets yelled at by the umpire instead of being ejected. Ninkumpoop trips Luck and gets away with it.

Those are calls that, when not against the Pats, are never missed.

By the final 2 minute warning I was pretty sure Dierdorf was going to go down to the Pats sideline to fellate Tom Brady. They had the camera ready for it and everything.

So the NFL is telling us a player can go for the ball and hit it out of the end zone, and it counts as a safety…..AND there's no penalty. But Vernon (or whoever it was) tries to recover the ball and that gets flagged????!!!!

Look bro i watched the Pats game tonite and when the pats players got into a scuffle with a colts player , the Ref grabbed the pat player and was all up in his face and still had him by the chest jersey , i didnt think a Ref was allowed to get in a players face , it was like another one of the pats players had a hold of him trying to clam him down , if im not mistaken a ref was suspended or fined or both for calling a player a name , but yeah if your not a pat player , you dont get the cussin like the ref did , if you can go back and watch you will see it , and i have NEVER SEEN THIS HAPPEN OUT OF A REF TO A PLAYER ...soo there you gooo.....

I've never liked Dierdorf as an announcer but I was starting to appreciate the emotional send off for him, until he reminded me on that play why I can't stand him. He continued to insist it would have been smart for the Patriot punter to allow himself to be tackled at the 2 yard line, "to allow the defense to line up."

Nonsense. The punter got lucky and was bailed out when the ball was batted out of the end zone.

I'm still not sure the officials had any idea what they were doing on that call. There were many variables in play, a rare combination. I thought they might try to pretend it was an incomplete pass and spot the ball back at the line of scrimmage.

they called ours intentional batting...the colts player did not intend to bat that ball out of the endzone...yes it's all a judgement call and with the nfls clown possy officiating who knows how they will call it

that said like awsi said no way do you want to hold that and give the pats run game who had torched the colts already an easy td by getting tackled at the 2...punter should have picked it up and punted it out the back of the endzone or just kicked it out the back

dierdorfs an idiot...wont' miss his nonsense...even called the int to the rarely used as a receiver fb back shoulder ball a int on the fb in man coverage...bs...thats on the qb placement all the way...

I find your subject line highly offensive. You might want to think about such things in the future. Thanks.

Ditto on Dierdorf. He tries so hard to sound your buddy/next door neighbor. Yet, he comes across like an arrogant former player who has been hit in the head WAY too many times.

Dierdorf is the worst and I'm so glad I'll never have to listen to him broadcast a Miami Dolphins game ever again.

Now please take Steve Tasker into retirement with you, Dan.
