Not sure I agree with this. Im pretty sure you can grab an entire jersey as long as the defender is in front of you. Ive seen alot of times where players grab the defenders jersey over the pads and werent called. Not that I expected or was looking for them to be called.

Wrong, when you grab a handful of jersey...that is holding, it doesn't matter if it is between the shoulder pads or the back of his jersey...you can't grab the jersey to keep a player from making a play...which is what Solder did all night and got away with.

77 held on every play. then espn patriot boot lickers show him tackling wake as proof he was dominating. if that play wasnt holding then the holdingpenalty shouldnt exist

Of course, it had to be the holding... it's not like a rookie tackle who has never played right tackle, starting in his first game in the NFL could rag doll a Pro Bowler like that.... had to be holding ROFL

Face it, Solder was impressive given the challenge.

He was impressive, but the constantly unpenalized holding was ridiculous. If you think otherwise you didn't watch the game.

Wake needs someone on the other side so that he isn't the only one bringing pressue. Many sacks are due to one side forcing the QB to the other side, and they get the sack. Brady didn't have to worry about one side all night long...he knew he could just move to avoid Wake and didn't have to worry about JT...JT is done!

Yep, if you keep it "inside the frame"...you are not going to get called. That's just the way it is...they all know it....they all deal with it....

Richie Incognito got called for holding doing the same exact thing Solder was getting away with, so the refs have to be fair and call it both ways or don't call it at all is what I am saying.

If it's the hold on the pass play you're talking about then not the same thing at all. Incognito got beat. As soon as you get beat (the defender is past you) you have to let go IMMEDIATELY or they will call it every time. They also could have called Incognito on the sack he gave up but they either missed it or let it go because it was a sack anyway

Wake doesn't need new moves. He is one of the most dangerous pass rushers in the league bcuz of those same moves. For a rookie right tackle that was a good game plain n simple. But he did get away with some holding calls. The one that the refs saw was just a good example. Wake would rip and get pass him. Then right when he turning that corner to get Brady Solder would hold him. Only reason he got away with so many was bcuz overall he looked solid for a rookie. Our pass rush overrall sucked not just wake. Brady was chillin in the pocket the whole game.

No biggie, the best CB tandem in the league will start helping him get some coverage sacks.
