Walker: Hickey received offers to trade down at 19 but wanted to stay to pick James

Oh well no point in arguing I don't hate the player I just hate the fact and yes I said fact we gave up an easy trade down op due to need on a guy that with Miamis scouts maybe he did validate a top 20 grade...hell these same dopes said dion Jordan was the top player in last years class even though he wasn't a scheme fit so nothing surprises me

It's not a fact. Until we know the details in the TWO offers, what you are suggesting at this point is nothing more than opinion.

I said this in another thread and I'm saying it here...this is another Joe Philbin pick. Hickey is trying to fit players to his scheme, just like how Ireland gave him Martin. So this is on the coach. If it works then it's brilliant, if it doesn't, then everyone should be fired in 2015.

Agree 100%. What is the common denominator with Ireland and Hickey? The retards putting together the grades on the retards we seem to pick every year.

Those retards, and Ross, and Philbin, and, Apante there happens to be a lot of retards in the Davie War Room

I have to say this again...... A repeat from last year....... But I am questioning our scouting staff. I'm really not impressed.

I agree completely. Our staff is incapable of evaluating ZBS OL, WR, TE, and LB. The only ones we get worth a damn are free agents who already proved themselves or their twin brothers ... literally.

Our defense was built on free agents (Wake, Starks, Grimes, Ellerbe, Wheeler, Delmas, Finnegan, Mitchell). Our offense doesn't have many quality draft picks either.

Our scouts are failing us for the most part.

Why is it that Ireland robbed those dumbasses in oakland blind when they took poor value on a trade but now Hickey is the dumbass for not taking anything he could get? You people are silly....

There is no guarantee James would have been there at 27. Arizona was a possibility at 20 and anyone could have easily jumped ahead of Miami at 27 to get him. Right Tackle was a must-have in this draft for Hickey and he got it done.
Also, just because no one else picked a tackle after that doesn't mean they wouldn't have if James was available

A third round pick to trade down 8 spots late in first round is not bad value esp when u probably get that player or a similar player at that pick.
I hated both moves. We got a part time defensive player and overdrafted a tackle by a round.

odds are that James would still be there. Arizona could have taken Moses. James at 19 is bad value but doesn't mean he cannot be a good player.
I mean if u draft pouncey top 10 its bad value but he is still a very good center.
I have no faith in the dolphins draft process and they have given me no reason to think any different just because they have some guy that worked for the Bucs

Agreed. if James ends up a good tackle, no one will care if he was picked at 19 instead of 26

Huge reach, at best he's a 2nd rounder. Clear we're drafting need instead of true value. Value would have been Cooks or Clinton-Dix, hell Su'a-Filo would have been a better choice there.

Dude you could have traded to 27 got him and gained a 3rd...as soon as Martin and Mosley went off he should have been out...instead he took the need...this guys solid in pass pro although he oversets but wait til you see him down the field in the run game...he's lost..,and he makes it a pillow fight at right tackle as a run blocker...I could understand pick 50 but to not trade out there to 27 and still get him...I mean really wtf...his bpa talk was bs

:bobdole:

I hate the people who are in charge of running this team. Same old fecal matter. Same Old Stupid Dolphins.

And no, I didn't say I hate THE DOLPHINS. There's a difference for all you jock sniffers so take all your "not a true fan" bs somewhere else.

Hickey was never a qualified hire as a GM, but I already knew that when they brought him on board. What a clown show this organization is.

At least you are using a very important word now. Probably.
