Wallace or Moore?

Wallace will turn heads soon enough...He is a beast and hopefully this FO can get him some PT so he can prove that.

I say both teach Moore to return kickoffs and punts bet he can do it too.

They tried that last season, and Moore didn't cut it as a returner because he had too many problems fielding kicks cleanly. They also tried him on special teams last year, and he was lousy. His appearance on special teams in camp this year is a surprise.

Moore had 3 drops last season, in an extremely limited number of chances. He has horrible hands. And you can see that he fights most catches. So, for all his explosiveness, his inability to catch the ball will cost him.

Wallace is well ahead of him for a roster spot.

Definitely keep Wallace. The 5th WR has to be able to play ST's, and Wallace does that well.

Wallace as of this moment.

Livas better be returning kicks...not sitting on the practice squad.

He needs to flash more than just the Falcons game. He disappeared in the Panthers game and needs to shine in these last two preseason games. He is still a long shot at this moment.

cut moore...you get an injury you can always visit that well again...i doubt he gets picked up by anyone unless they have some serious injury issues

Didn't we cut Anthony Armstrong? He's a player that Moore reminds me a lot of. Well, sure didn't last a long time on the waiver wire and has been showing steady improvement with the Skins....

I as much as anyone wanted to see him do well against the Panthers but it just didn't happen as planned. Unless he takes one to the house in the next two games I'd be willing to bet he is demoted to the practice squad

It's ridiculous to expect anyone to return kicks for TDs every other game.

Even Devin Hester - the greatest returner ever - only returns a kick/punt for a TD once every 5.4 games.

Gale Sayers - a hall of famer - only returned a kick/punt for a TD once every 8.5 games.

Other great returners include Brian Mitchell (kick/punt for a TD once every 17.15 games), and Billy "White Shoes" Johsnon (kick/punt for a TD once every 17.9 games).

In my opinion, all Phillip Livas needs to do in the next 2 preseason games to make the roster, is have an above return average, and not fumble the ball.

Livas shows some flash one time and everyone is going nuts over him. He'll get cut.

You have to look at his whole body of work. He was the best returner in NCAA history. The return in the first game proved the fact. You can't expect him to return kicks for TDs every game. We need to keep him--even if he doesn't return another TD in the next two games. If we want to improve our offensive production, we definitely need a great returner. They will keep him.

Difference is, Moore is gonna be inactive every week.

No way he gets burn over Marshall/Bess/Hartline/Gates . . . if you have a #5 guy, you atleast want something out of him. Wallace being the gunner brings that to the table, especially with us not keeping Patrick Cobbs. Plus Moore's biggest issue is fighting the catch . . . Armstrong was smoother and faster than him.

Plus I rather have a guy that reminds me of Brandon Marshall than a guy that reminds me of Anthony Armstrong.

Wes Welker was the greatest return man when he came out of college and yet he was an extremely mediocre returner. However he was a hell of a slot WR. If we are under the assumption that Livas won't bring anything as a WR, he needs to show that he can be a fantastic returner for us to justify using a roster spot on him. It doesn't look good that he gets tripped up extremely easy . . . you need guys that can break a few tackles on this level. You can't make people miss on this level as easy as you can in college. He has to be consistent.

And I like the kid, I WANT him to win the job as the #6 WR/primary returner, but IMO he hasn't done that yet.

Wallace. Moore doesn't play ST, nor does he possess as much talent as Wallace. Unless you consider dropping passes a talent.

Never said that we should take Moore over Wallace. I was simply responding to the train of thought that he would be available for us to bring back if needed. Also for the point of clarifying what I meant, I was really reffering more to Moore's current status in comparison to Armstrong. Speed? IMO they are about same IMO. That's all....
