WalterFootball.com -- Day 1 winners & losers -- Yup, Dolphins are losers

No, the Dolphins are losers for drafting a 2nd-3rd round talent in the middle of the first round. So when are we all chipping in to rent a plane to fly a "Fire Hickey" banner over the stadium?

You'd probably want to give Hickey at least a year before determining how good of a draft he had. Or do you want to fire him after one pick? That daft are ya?

As soon as I saw the headline, I knew the Dolphins were on the losers list. Pretty obvious.

I went to sleep furious, and woke up furious. New GM, same stupidity. I don't get it.

So his own mock had him going to us but after we select him we then become losers.

Sounds as educated as the gm's I see on this forum.

You know what they say about opinions...remember being frustrated with over 50 sacks. If he isures up our right side...then who cares.

Walter taking shots at the Fins? I'm shocked... SHOCKED I say.

Haha in all seriousness I love using his site, but living off of what he says about each pick is not the way to go. 2 years ago the Steelers drafted a NT from Washington and he called it a huge steal and that showed that they were the best ran franchise in the NFL. The kid, as a 3rd, was cut midway through his rookie season and stashed on the PS.

Drafting isn't an exact science. Sometimes surefire safe picks don't work out and sometimes huge reaches turn out being good picks.

Making ridiculous statements doesn't make you look smarter, it makes you look ridiculous.

Rated by who? I doubt the dolphins had him rated as the 56 -80th best player and many teams pass on the higher "Rated" player to take a player they need. One that the coaching staff has a clear vision for that can start from day 1. Unlike the Jordon pick last year where he might have been the highest rated player but wasn't necessarily a need and he ddin't start. This staff does not have that luxury so i get the pick, I just philosophically don't like drafting lineman in the first round if they don't play LT

NFL Network's Mike Mayock had JuWuan James rated as the 60th best player on his board.

ESPN's Todd McShay had JuWuan James rated as the 55th best player on his board.

Another ESPN list had JuWuan James rated as the 80th best player. (Not sure who's rankings it was -- it wasn't Kiper).

LOL!!! He is not a first-round talent. I did my research. Looks like you haven't though. He is ranked anywhere from 55th best player to 80th best player depending on who is doing the rankings. And this from people at NFL Network and ESPN, not some rinky-dink draft website.

Apparently not enough. ....

Umm, Walter football mocked James to us...in the first. So, there opinion has zero credibility.

If you read the details of the mock pick, Walter Football mocks JuWuan James to the Dolphins based on reports of the Dolphins grade of JuWuan James. The mock also states Miami's desperation. A little reading goes a long way.

If anything, this validates Walter Football as having some idea of what's going on.

Also, how the hell does Walter Football know what grade Miami had for JuWuan James before the draft??? That's not good either.

This is awesome.bahahahahahaha. I love the dolphins but we have some dumb fans. The tackle was the right pick regardless of what anyone thinks.

I bet you were saying the same things about Jason Allen, Pat White, and Eddie Moore. Yup, dumb fans defending dumb picks.

No one really knows where teams had guys rated. IF, and I admit its a legitimate IF.....James was Hickeys highest rated player on the board, then he made the right pick. The question is, does he develop into what Hickey thinks he is or not. That takes a couple years. I remember when NE(I live in Boston) picked some guard named Logan Mankins that most draftnicks had as a second or third round pick, and NE fans were wailing about the pick for weeks after the draft. Who takes a guard in the first round and not a tackle?

Point is, if James is a Pro Bowl right tackle in 3 years and Kouandijo's knee blows up.....will the naysayers remember this day?

It was a pick of need with a guy who is a legit talent coming out of college. If he turns into a solid RT this year, and if we draft a guard in the second or third round and our oline turns into a top-10 oline, and we can run the ball and Tanny isn't staring a facemask every other throw....we will ALL be happy.

Again. The site you put up in your original thread had James going to Miami at No.19. Kiper did too.
