was drafting Ronnie a good Choice?

HMMMM we might have TWO! 235 pound battering rams that run 4.4.. ya thats going to suck :shakeno:

The notion that Brown can't handle a full games load is crazy. PEOPLE he wasn't 2nd string, sitting on the bench most of the game. He SPLIT time with Cadillac and when Cadillac was in the backfield, Ronnie played fullback and split out wide. He was on the field probably more than Cadillac. And also, I believe it was their junior years, Cadillac missed most of the season with a broken leg and guess who got most of the carries? Ronnie Brown, I read it just the other day, that season he had games with 35+ carries against top rate competition. 35+ carries is no walk in the park, hes got what it takes to carry our team throughout the whole game.

think about this. Ronnie Brown wasnt a staring runningback. He did well when he played, but he wasnt a starter. I dont think he has the stamina, and he woulndt be able, to start the whole game. He will be worn out after the second quarter.

What a load of crap. Why do you waste bandwidth with nonsense like this?

Now If Ricky comes back, then we will be paying Ricky alot, just to be a 3rd down back. Ricky has expiriance, and Ronnie doesnt.

just think, where are we weak at? QB? CB?

just think, if we would have traded down, we could have drafted, Antrel Rolle, and Aaron Rodgers.

We would then have a new Starting QB, and a staring CB. And Ricky Williams, & Kay Jay, Sammy Morris, and Lamar Gordon, and Travis Minor

Sounds better to me
Man your posts get stupider by the day, i'm not even going to defend picking Ronnie even though he didn't "start" because fact of the matter is within the next year the pick will speak for itself. Now this whole Ricky situation is a bit complicated but you have to take it all with a grain of salt because frankly Ricky isn't a dolphin again, not yet, oh and the only experience ricky has had in the last 18 months is smokin Cannabis sativa. While i know muscles have memory and ricky will be able to eventually gain back the weight he has lost the guy only weighs 200 pounds soaking *** wet. I loved ricky when he suited up as a dolphin he ran hard and always got the extra yardage that distinguishes a top teir running back from an average running back but face it people he is just a shadow of his former self. He won't be able to run like he used to until he puts his weight back on, it's as easy as that the man isn't the same period end of discussion.

Dude, we WANTED to TRADE DOWN but we COULDNT FIND ANYONE to TRADE DOWN with US

Therefore we took BPA with THE #2 PICK IN THE DRAFT.

I just give up. I GIVE UP!

My fingers are so tired of typing the argument that RONNIE BROWN WAS NOT A BACKUP FOR THE LOVE OF CHRIST.

Some of you on here need to get some sense knocked into you.

Ugh, there's 5 seconds of my life I'll never get back. Honestly, why do some of you people post at all?

Ive given this hard thought, but there are some 30+ year olds who start even more stupider threads....

The zach thomas to SS one will stay in my head forever. There are a ton of other ones started by older people who I thought to myself "man, this guys a complete moron"

This week must be called the "worthless thread week".

SI is reporting that Ricky will probably retire after he completes his contract in two years if he comes back. The IF part comes from Ricky himself and this is not surprising to me. So, yes, drafting Ronnie was a good idea. Ricky needs to get in Football shape, gain weight and serve a four game suspension...and then he will probably retire after his contract is up...if he even comes back to begin with (which I think he will but with Ricky you never know).

what possibly makes you think he couldn't handle the load, the guy is a monster at over 230 lbs. and solid muscle. He also DID start and carry the load a few games in College when Caddilac went down, so this statement of yours doesn't make any sense to me. Just becaue he hasn't carried the ball 30 or more times in very many games, doesn't even mean that he can't carry it over 40 times a game. Ronnie Brown is a Big, Fast, Powerfull RB, who has all the tools to make it in the NFL.........Lets not demean our newest star player before we even get to see him on the field

Yep, that quote is the quote of the day. Here is the report from SI you are talking about:

In Williams' eyes, he can offer Miami a pair of very productive seasons before stepping aside to make room for rookie RB Ronnie Brown and reverting to retirement.

"I've still got 4,000 yards left in me," Williams wrote, meaning two years at 2,000 per. "Who is gonna turn that down?"
Ronnie is the future of the franchise. Ricky coming back is only going to help us deal with his retirement by having him go out in a more respectable way. Ricky won't be here for long. Ronnie will be.

YES lets set an over 15 age limit to post....send ID cards to Muck and the rest of the mods for confirmation.
:roflmao:
