Was Jon Gruden Fishing For The Dolphins HC Job?

I dont know what you all are talking about.. Gruden is a tough nosed, azz kickin, take no BS head coach.. Thats his style and he seems to get his players to respond to it..

I bought into bringing Dolfans back to the stadium.. you all young punk mods around here that whine and complain because someone doesnt share your same point of view, have no clue what its like to be a real Dolfan.. There was once a time when us fans was proud and carried our head up high.. We would look forward to every game as it was an event.. not just a game.. Win or lose, it didnt matter because we were in a for a tough, hard fought game and everyone knew it..

Monday Night Football was the highlight of the season.. The entire family huddling around the television sets, having the television crew focus on the full moon glistening over the ocean during commercial breaks.. The Dolphins not only having the best win/loss on Monday Night, but in all of professional sports.. Man, that was a time to be a fan of this team..

If Gruden has a vision of bringing back the glory days to Miami, then he is one step closer than Sparano is.. just saying

Nay...

As much as I enjoy his pro-dolphin commentary, and personable style, it is plausible that his job, as directed by show director, has him playing "good cop" and Jawaroski playing more of a "bad cop."

In other MNF games I've seen, Gruden is always pretty sensitive and supportive of the underdog team, but he goes beyond with his coaching role- offer nurturing solutions / facilitating progress / and teaching in a positive manner (effective in teaching style). IMHO he is just thinking like a coach in his commentary.

Jaws, not a coach, will look at in more plainly, is more blunt, disregarding and just judges topics in black or while.

Gruden was much more blatant last night.

i don't think a gruden team would be sucking as much wind as the players coach tony sparano
they love tony because he doesn't work them hard..

So IYO Gruden is a worse coach than Tony? Lol.. Can I have some of what your smoking?
If you think Gruden is some sort of answer than you are fooling yourself. Yes he won a Super Bowl, but let's be honest that was with the team Dungy built. His teams got worse over time, never developed a QB and was hated by his players and lost the locker room. He would not be a good fit in Miami imo. Though his hiring would bring some false optimism initially and they could sell Dolphins chucky dolls. Other than that, I would rather Cowher, the guy who took 15 years to win a Super Bowl if Sparano is let go.

agrees, its okay to point out flaws, but my point is he always offers a solution to an issue and that is his coaching psychology; he'll make it a habit to wrap up points with positive reinforcement. in this way, as a player being taught, or fan being taught, you'll like what he says and want to hear more...perhaps learn.

He's just being a good teacher / coach, not necessarily being a pro-dolphin...is all I'm suggesting.

Someone seems to be overlooking what he did with the Raiders...

Was that a subtle shot at Cowher for taking 15 years to win a superbowl? Or a shot at those clamoring for Cowher? lol either way you slipped it in there like pro :)

Nor have I forgotten what Brian Billick and Jim Fassel did in the same era.. but that doesn't mean I want either of them either.

I like Gruden's fire too. But Gruden, like Cowher, has won a SB. No SB winning coach has ever won another SB with a different team. I would much rather have Fisher. I think he still has something to prove and is just as good as Gruden/Cowher.

So by that logic it will never happen? This is also one of the most useless and pointless statistics in all of sports. Means nothing.
