With the early success that McCoy is having in San Deigo, we have to look back and wonder if hiring Philbin over him was the right move. I like Philbin, but it seems as though this team is regressing under him. When you can't beat a Bills team with a 4th string QB that you beat easily the year before at home, you have to start asking questions. A good part of the blame belongs Sherman on offense, but whether it be after a bye, or right out of the half, there are too many times where this team comes out flat and in the last two games, it has cost us big time. I just don't see this team moving forward in the right direction right now. McCoy on the other hand has helped Rivers look like an elite QB again, and if we had landed him, its more likely would have ended up with Wilson instead of Tannehill. Thoughts?

That is way to early to tell there was alot of Cowboy fans who said that Dallas should have kept Sparano on board and let him be the next coach.

Philbin's stubborness regarding the O-Line cost us this game. No doubt about it.

I'm not sold on McCoy yet either. Ross made the big mistake by not cleaning house and getting rid of Ireland.

I can't say I have seen anything that make Philbin special. The play-calling and offense is bland. The defense is OK, but that's about it. I see nothing that makes him anything more than just another average coach.

So all those folks that say, "we can't lose Ireland without Philbin leaving"; I say, "**** him, fire him too!"

If they miss the playoffs, I wouldn't be opposed to letting Philbin and Ireland go and starting fresh, hoping that the next regime see enough talent in Tannehill to keep him around and hopefully develop him.

I am sick of starting over, but if they miss the playoffs after a 3-0 start and after failure to correct O-Line personnel problems during a BYE when it was obvious, time to move on.

I agree, I don't think we can make the same mistake that we made after the 2010 season in letting a losing head coach hang around for another year with a team that had little direction. There seems to be a lot off parallels in this season to the 2010 season.

Won't happen. They will give it one more year. Ross will not pay for the final year of Irelands or Philbins contracts. We are stuck. So sickening., Wait till next week when we are hammered. We were outcaoched by the Bills, wait till Belcheat sees us on film! We have too much talent to be like this. It is all on coaching.

I am not necessarily sold on him either, and its possible that he would not have had as much success with us. That is, having a year with Manning in 2012 may have helped his coaching. Nonetheless, I do think that he is not as bland and may have a better offense mind than Philbin.

McCoy just beat a historicly bad Jaguar team... Let's not crown him yet. He likely isn't much different than Philbin.

Put it this way... if Philbin doesn't make changes, I'd expect next season to be a "success or everyone is fired" year.

I have to admit I was always thought that Philbin was too much of a dullard to be a head coach. He's got the personality of a dead corpse.
