Washington is going to have a qb problem...would it be reasonable to inquire

I stated my point. might have been in the other thread talking about cousins. it's too soon to tell if he's better than tannehill.

"I can't think of anything else to say, so I will just say "excuses""

Nothing else to say when you have 35 games to go off of. Mostly losses... :(

yeah, lets just ignore everything that's wrong with the dolphins and put all the blame on tannehill. makes sense.

I just threw in that last part for your benefit, since it's apparently a solid barometer in your world (except when talking about Tannehill, of course).

I was actually being facetious when I said he lost in his high ceiling game. I mean, as a fan of tannehill, you'd think i'd know that wins and losses aren't always on the qb. especially after the kind of game cousins had. lol

Sorry, all the excuses have made me start to miss them when I'm reading them (or not reading them, I guess).

Most wanted to see big improvement and instead have gotten regression. But it's only 3 games and there has been a ton of [insert excuse here]. That's neither here nor there though, the current topic of this thread is bashing Cousins for one terrible game.

Surely your smart enough to realize that an offense needs roughly half a season to acclimate to a new system? That's not an excuse, that's generally considered factual information. A new offensive scheme along with 5 new o-lineman who have never played next to each other will require time to achieve a cohesiveness. Three games should hardly be considered it's litmus test.

You made the comparison here. You even threw the Skins loss against Philadelphia into the hat basically hinting that this loss would be on Cousins. The problem though is that we can go step by step and up the ante as well.

I don't think that you should, as a Tannehill supporter, measure your favorite QB with anybody. Especially not with someone who started his 7th game of his career. You are talking about Cousins like he had played 35 games already (as a starter). In your mind Cousins has reached his ultimate high and low ceiling after 7 games and you start comparing yet you need to see Tannehill with 35 starts a few more times. Don't you see that there is something wrong with that type of thinking?

I can not tell if Cousins will be great or not. But I am not the one starting straight comparisons either.

i'm not. I said my view was that it's too soon to crown cousins as better than tannehill. unlike tannenballs. I was trying to figure out how one can come to that conclusion after 1 good game in the nfl.

 Tell me about it. I mean, after the season finale Tannehill had last year...wowsers. :hi5:

I am not crowning him either. But looking at his play in general one could assume that he is more promising than Tannehill. The win/loss column is almost identical. Tannehill started 3-4 and Cousins started 2-5.

But I guess, unless Tannehill gets benched, we have an entire season to look at both QBs.

Though if Cousins keeps on developing I doubt that the Skins will trade him anyways. So that point will be moot.

Surely you're smart enough to know it takes at least 5 seasons to acclimate to a new offense and stop making the exact same mistakes you did in prior years, many of which have nothing to do with the type of offense being run.

3 games isn't and never has been the litmus test. 35 games. Unless he makes some kind of miraculous turnaround, what you see is what you get, and it's pretty meh.

Good night folks!

Guys I wanted tannehill to come out firing as much as anyone.

But were one of the top teams in drops, clay isn't right, new system, we need to give him some slack.

Look at the giants and Eli, It looked like a disaster a few weeks ago, now it's coming together. I'm not giving up on tannehill yet. Our WRs need to step up too. Lazor is still learning the roster too, of we beat the raiders, which we better, We go into the bye week looking ok, amd get a lot of backup.

That's all we need.

I actually just watched cousins last two games on nfl rewind, condensed version. I haven't seen anything cousins do, that tannehill hasn't done. I can't say that cousins ceiling is higher than tannehills, based on that eagles game. he had some bad throws and some good throws. Nothing spectacular or even good enough to say he has an edge, at this point.

I live in ny, and giants fans said the same thing, Eli Won 2 rings after those same comments.

You guys forget.....

Tanny only had 1 hear as a starter in college, rg3 luck Wilson, everyone else...

They had 3-4 years as a starter. That's a huge experience difference. You have to be more patient with tannehill, as hard as that is to do.
