Watching A Recorded Game?

Yeah last season against the pats, the game we won. I had to work. I avoided everyone all day by using headphones, I managed to not get drawn into fantasy football talk, ate lunch in my car and got all the way home. When I get home I turn the tv on to watch my recorded version when the first thing that pops our of the tvs mouth is how Brady will bounce back after this loss. I was so happy yet so angry! Lol

I love watching it live, and I don't mind commercials at all....even if I wanted to record to skip through, I have a group chat text message with a few Bucs fans, a jets fan, and an eagles fan....we all put massive bets on specific games and overall season performance....plus, we all like to give each other a tough time. So, I know when my Phins are playin, I have a few friends just waiting to give me crap for a bad turnout. If we have a bad turnout, I don't want to hear it from them after the fact, I want to see it for myself. Embrace it.

Nothing on Earth is capable of getting me more upset, but that's what love is.

I remember being 16 and working at Eckerd Drug and having to work on Sunday's. It sucked. I do my best to avoid working on Sundays.

I do love using AT&T's Uverse for the DVR . . . but it just doesn't work for me in regards to Dolphins game. I've tried and I did manage to be successful in not knowing what went on and then watching the game, but I felt like I had to work too hard in making that happen and now I just follow the game through my cell phone with quick updates if I'm away.

When I watch a recorded game I always feel like I am rushing to get to the end.
I will record the games so I can go back and re-watch but as far as first view... I would rather watch it Live.

I prefer to watch games live. I will also record and re-watch. If I recorded to watch later, I couldn't help but check the phone/internet for what is currently going on. I live and work around people that would spoil it anyway. Don't think I'd ever be able to watch it later by choice.

I don't mind watching a recorded game if I find out we win. If I find out we lost before I watch it, though, it kills the game for me :(

I used to have Sunday Ticket. I would record the game and start watching 45 minutes in, skipping commercials. I had it timed so that 9 out 0f 10 times I'd be caught up to real time right around the 2 minute warning at the end and never had to suffer through a single commercial. One year was a bit rough money wise so I decided to skip out on the Sunday Ticket and go to the bar on Sundays to watch the games. Ended up having such a great time that year mingling with other teams fans that even though I now have Sunday Ticket again, I still head to the bar every Sunday and will usually re-watch the recorded game depending on the outcome. There's a Pats fan and a Jets fan that always sit across from me together and we have a good time giving each other grief. If my team wins I buy them a round and vise versa. Good times!

I always watch live, and usually watch it again on NFL Game Rewind, and usually watch again in the offseason. You have to watch live to get the feel and pace of the game. Watching a recording and fast forwarding doesn't give you a feel for the momentum or those cliffhanger moments imo.

Agreed. I'm 100% DVR on everything except sports. The times I have recorded football and watched later, even not knowing the outcome of the game, just didn't feel right. There is something missing.
