Chris Hogan played really well too. If only he secured that deep ball on the 2 min drive. That is all!!!!!!!

Matthews did look pretty nice tonight. Hogan has to make that catch to be taken seriously.

Does he remind any else of Oronde Gadsden?

I was thinking the exact same thing man. Maybe it's just the clear visor and #86, but I feel he even lines up like him.

I love this kid really hope He gets the nod for the 53

He earned himself more consideration tonight. Let's hope he take advantage of it. We need someone to step up for this team right now!!!

Here's the thing: Matthews, Hogan, and to a lesser extent, Fuller, simply look the part. Roberto Wallace and Marlon Moore don't. It's not about production - I'm well aware Wallace and Moore can put up numbers against 3rd string defenses. Those guys just look like football players, whether it's Matthews barreling into the endzone or taking that big hit or Hogan's route running. Wallace and Moore have made catches, yes, but they are simply unable to come up with a big play consistently. I have more confidence in what Matthews & Hogan will become in 3 years (or sooner) than I do in what Wallace and Moore will become in ANOTHER 3 years.

He always stands out to me. He was impressive at Nevada and was again last night. I hope in the next few games he flashes some of that big play potential we all know he has.

I couldn't have said it better myself. Matthews does remind me of Gadsden. He has the same frame, route running ability and is tremendously strong.
