Chris Hogan played really well too. If only he secured that deep ball on the 2 min drive. That is all!!!!!!!
I was thinking the exact same thing man. Maybe it's just the clear visor and #86, but I feel he even lines up like him.
Does he remind any else of Oronde Gadsden?
I couldn't have said it better myself. Matthews does remind me of Gadsden. He has the same frame, route running ability and is tremendously strong. Here's the thing: Matthews, Hogan, and to a lesser extent, Fuller, simply look the part. Roberto Wallace and Marlon Moore don't. It's not about production - I'm well aware Wallace and Moore can put up numbers against 3rd string defenses. Those guys just look like football players, whether it's Matthews barreling into the endzone or taking that big hit or Hogan's route running. Wallace and Moore have made catches, yes, but they are simply unable to come up with a big play consistently. I have more confidence in what Matthews & Hogan will become in 3 years (or sooner) than I do in what Wallace and Moore will become in ANOTHER 3 years.
