I think your O-line sucks, not the entire team. This was just a badly timed game for you guys, maybe there was too much pressure on the players to win because of what has been going on.

I can agree with OP in terms of, we shouldn't act like the season is black and white 100% over, because it could be a whole lot worse. Look around the league, the redskins are 3-6, are Way more hyped of a team than the Fins, and they technically, by the numbers, are "still in it". This Tampa Bay team Did in fact take the Seahawks to OT, in Seattle, just the week before. That doesn't just Happen as a fluke. Their defense can be real, and their offense can gain some yards with Vincent Jackson and their RB's.
HOWEVER: No matter how much chance / probability / excuses that can shape a season, the truth remains: our team is NOT a good football team. Philbin, Ireland, Sherman, Jonathan Martin's parents, anyone you want to point the finger at -- we're simply NOT for real, we're not prepared to win on Sundays, and it shows, every single week through scrappy, grind it out, nailbiter games. Our team needs to be better than a mediocre nailbiter winner if we're going to be a playoff contender year in and year out.

Dude, we have lost to the Buffalo Bills in our own building and now lost to the Tampa Bay Bucs. We are NOT playoff material. Get real.
We have 7 games to play. All of the teams we play are better than the Bucs and the Bills(except the Bills themselves). The chances of us winning 5 of those 7 are about the same as Dovahkiin winning the lottery again.
Actually, the Bills will be a better team with EJ back at QB.

With the way our team has been playing this year, bad OL, crappy LB's, and most of all terrible coaching, even if we did make it to the playoffs, we would just get embarrassed like we did in the 2008 wildcard game against the Ravens. Like most other posters are saying, we need a GM that can actually evaluate football players, a real QB coach to help R.T., and a coaching staff who can get the best out of our players, and know how to make half-time adjustments. I've been a Dolphin fan since 1972, and will always be one till the end of my days. I'm just tired of all the mediocrity that has befallen our team for so long.

But does it really matter to make the playoffs in a year when the advanced is so bad? Fact.is this team is mediocre at best. We would get smoked by kc, Denver, ne, I know we beat Indy and cincy but come playoffs they'd probably smoke us too!

Never say die! If they were guaranteed wins or losses why would we bother playing the games or bother watching?! I love the game of football, and I love having someone to root for! I won't quit until its mathematically impossible for us to not make the playoffs. And by the way, one day I expect to OWN the Dolphins and instill the same sense of drive. F$#@K all of you, I can cuss my phins and still not give up hope! (who said we have to be realists!!)
As much as i'd like to say about this team*, I won't quit on them, even when- if some of the individual team members quit on us fans.
* (I.e. Run Def. quits when we need them most, O-Line needs replacements at all positions except center and Mckenzie if he returns, get rid of Ireland and EVERY OL scout he's EVER hired, this team plays down to their competition, Sherman can be replaced but keep the system, get a good pick for Starks or Solia ((pick one), juries still out on RT, backs aren't worth a ****, love Grimes and Patterson, RJ and Clemons need to pick it up and LB's suck at tackling, Philbin needs to drop the slack-jaw-don't know what's going on look.

Did you see the stat last night during the game? The most Marino was ever sacked in a season was 28. Tanny has already been sacked 37 times. At this rate, he may set a new record.
Hell, Marino was only sacked 270 times in his career. Tanny has already been sacked 72 times!
