If so they will lose the fan base. Cutting Moore with the OL in absolute shambles, is sending the message to the fan base, that we are going into a complete rebuild and won't be trying to be competitive this year. I can't imagine a worse move than to cut one of the leaders in the locker room, and a very valuable talent, after seeing the beating Ryan took last year, and seeing the OL is much worse shape now than it was last year. That would be stupid.

Moore hasn't done crap for us, don't care if he's on the team or not. Oline is on it's way to being fixed.

Money we don't spend doesn't additionally transfer over to the next year. If we want to cut him to sign someone new, that is fine, but if it is for saving cash, it doesn't make sense to cut him. He will be a free agent after this year anyway so next year we will have 5 million dollars that he won't be taking up.

Matt Moore is a contingency plan. Pat Devlin is a 3rd string QB.

C.J. Fiedorowicz, TE, Iowa (SR)…I really like him.

Replacing the backup qb would kill the fan base and signal a complete rebuild? People are showing up at the stadium to see Moore stand on the sidelines? WTF???

RI is gone. Get over it already.

I still say trade bait. Wait til after training camp and even right up to the trade deadline, someone will call. No need to throw him out there now as we are not strapped for cash.

You're right. I was thinking that if we'd cut him now, we'd have more cap to rollover into next season. I guess they're looking at qbs to take his spot in 2015. Am I mistaken thinking that the rollover money we saved from last year doubled? I remember reading that but wasn't sure exactly how we benefitted from rolling over our cap.
I thought that if we save say 8 million in cap this year that'd the league gives us 16 million in cap space next offseason instead of just the 8 mil. I thought the league rewards you for staying under the cap, doubling the amount of money we saved under the cap for the next offseason

Yes you are mistaken. You only rollover what you have. Does not double.

lol, what?

Moore is a progress stopper plain and simple. RT sinks or swims and we need to know what we have in Devlin. Either he steps in to be the vet backup or we move on from him as well.

How does Matt Moore stop Tanne's progress? It is known he helps Tannehill's progression especially since Tannehill doesn't have the QB experience as other QBs his age. We are lucky to have Moore behind Tannehill.

Why, the Dolphins are on the book for 130 million towards the cap in 2015 will be and most speculate the cap will be 140 million and it looks like the Dolphins may rollover close to 10 million.

If they don't need the money then it is unnecessary to cut a guy who is a solid back up and a good team guy.
