We need some physical players

We missed our chance at Earl Thomas. Those guys don't come around very often. When everyone was talking about trading up for Eric Berry, I was like **** that. Just draft Thomas.

But we definitely need a stronger physical presence on the O-line, at RB, and at LB.

100% agree with this

Hell Yes...We need some bullies!!!!!!

We have not had any big hitters at safety since Louis Oliver. And Cameron Wake is not a big hitter. Yes he's a pass rusher but he doesn't lay the wood. None of our linebackers can hit.

Oliver was a big hitter and nothing more. He was a huge liability in coverage and couldn't make an open field tackle to save his life.
Putting a clone of him on this defense, would not make it better.
This defense was very physical last year. The difference is in the LB'ers. Wheeler was a huge FA mistake. Ellerbe was OK, but they should have kept Dansby.
Only real needs IMO are MLB and improving the O-line. That will make this team a contender.
The Bills game is being over analyzed. The team was flat and the Bills played the game like a SB. In the 1st meeting the Phins outplayed them and should have won. Turnovers (by Tannehill) were the difference.
The team is young and needs experience in big games. Even a playoff berth with an early playoff exit will provide invaluable experience for this team going into next season.

I think the players we are bringing in fit the coach's philosophy, and unfortunately that isn't physical. He looking for playmakers, players who have speed and play making ability in terms of interceptions, sacks and the like. I do fear that over time our run defense will diminish while on O probably my biggest concern bar the crap pass blocking is 3rd and short or goal line plays we can't smash it in.

Tackling was pretty horrible yesterday. Miami is bad for that over the years especially in big games. Yesterday against the Bills was the worst I saw this year.
We might have a good team, but we don't have a team built to win big games. At least that is the way it seems.

To all the people who are saying we don't have a hard hitting safety, I don't know if you guys are aware of Reshad jones. He lays the wood regardless of his struggles this year.

We don't needs hitters on defense, we need LB's that are willing to tackle. Give me a 2014 version of John Offerdahl and Zack Thomas. They are the weakness on our defense.
On Oline, we need to scrap the ZBS finesse style and go back to smash mouth corn fed mammoths. Why run around guys when you can go right through them.
Having a surging oline will make RT more effective down field.

agree. This defense needs a leader in the middle of the defense. I've been saying that for months. Next to O-line, that is our biggest need.
It kills me to think that Cam Cameron chose Ted Ginn over Patrick Willis.
