We need to deal Marshall for draft picks

I never wanted to trade for him. I've seen a lot of good WRs go in and after the 2nd round that last couple of years.

I did not want to bring a WR here that seemed to already have mental problems. I did not want to trade two 2nd round draft picks for a WR without a top end speed.

He does not have great hands, he does not run good routes (his words) and he does not have great speed. Being only bigger and stronger then most corners as a WR does not always work in the NFL. Joe (My Gator) Haden handled B Marshall a little too well one on one and made almost all the big plays when it counted.

The way I look at WRs is 1st, how well do they catch the ball and how hard do they go for the ball. but really how good or great is their concentration.

2nd, do they run great and precise routes. Is it coaching? Is it in them to run precise routes if taught?

And 3rd I'd look at their speed, is it decent or is it dangerous. Now since speed is important in the NFL, you also have to look at the C Gates, J Knox's, M Wallace's etc speed WRs from a more "speed first" view.

Brandon Marshall is big and strong but not fast. He needs to learn to run precise patterns and to work as much as he can on his hands. Since he does not run good routes, his timing with Chad Henne must be a problem (What has helped always helped Marshall here is his size, he is a large target).

Marshall also said that one of his big problems is his YAC yards. He said he drops balls because he is already turning upfield instead of looking the ball in and catching it first.

And to be honest, I'd trade him for his contract alone. He is not performing close to the money he is making.

As far as stats.......

Only one really counts and that is the final score of the game. As far as a WR is concerned, his main stat is TDs made. On 50 or 5 yard passes, how many TDs did he catch in the game. How many of the possible TD routes did he run does he win and make the catch.

If you lose at that stat, yards do not matter, catches do not matter.

N here I'm thinking ireland is an idiot lol. Thank God you guys are just fans.

Marshall is a bum, I didn't want this guy in the first place. If he was a top 10 receiver he'd be easy to trade, right? But he's not.Nobody would trade for Marshall like he's a top 10 guy. Don't care about his yards and meaningless catches, how many times has he scored? He has more dropped TDs than TD catches.

whom ever started this thread should be Banned from Finheaven...**** if we want more picks let throw Long into the mix...Get a ****ing grip.

this is stupid...if we trade marshall to help us get luck, then who the hell is he going to throw to?

I'm not against it. If it means the difference between getting and not getting Andrew Luck or Matt Barkley, then I say deal his crazy, woman beating, TD dropping @ss to the highest bidder.

Then when we get Luck, everyone would be clamoring how he has no one to throw to

Who'd take over as the #1 WR on the team then, Hartline? Who would then take Hartline's place, Bess? Who would then take Bess's place?

Whose going to trade for a diva WR with mental illness?

Not even the Raiders are that stupid......

I remember back when it made sense to trade everyone. First it was Surtain, Ogunleye, then it ended up being Cahmbers, Welker and even the freaking punter. Every coach that came in thought they could get rid of that one guy they didn't need for a draft pick they could use. And the team just got worse and worse, most of the draft picks were missed on, some that weren't were traded, and we ended up 1 and freaking 15 with our one win being a minor miracle!

If we get rid of Marshall, we'd just end up needing a number one wide receiver. I'd rather keep the one we have.

Who cares ? Who was the #1 WR the last time this team had a winning record and went to the playoffs ?

I was thinking the same exact thing...this guy is clueless. Building a championship team you need to identify your core players and lock them up to long term contracts...YOU DON'T SHIP THEM OFF FOR FUTURE DRAFT PICKS!!! NUFF SAID!!!
