We need to deal Marshall for draft picks

Long, Marshall, Davis, Thomas, Bush, Pouncy, Wake are just a few that are off the trade market, they are the Dolphins core players.

Even if a new coaching staff were to be in charge next year...one would hope they would be able to assess who are the keepers and who are the players who are expendable.

Who cares ? Who was the #1 WR the last time this team had a winning record and went to the playoffs ?

And then the team got demolished because they had absolutely nobody on the entire offense who could do a thing against a top caliber defense. It wasn't Pennington's fault alone that Ed Reed was his top receiver that day.

Don't mean to go on a rant, but I for one am tired of the rebuilding every 2 or 3 years...we need stability and in order to reach that goal we must find the right coach and the right signal caller.

For the folks who have been around here a good while ... we had to listen to The Dolphin's Huge Problem Was Due To Lack Of Receivers for years, even BEFORE Henne arrived.

Would be torturous to hear that misguided argument a few more years.

We just need a solid FO, then build a good team ... no other way to do it & no quick fixes exist. If a GOOD deal comes along for anyone, fine.

Ideas like trading Marshall or the same as countless 100's of threads to get this guy & that guy ... no basis in fact or logic.

2009- Henne sucks because of no guy like Marshall
2010- Henne sucks because of Henning
2011- Henne sucks because of Marshall
2012- Henne sucks because of no guy like Marshall, zodiac signs not aligned, poor cheerleading, above average humidity, that fan in the stands saying something that hurt his feelings....

trading marshall would just be stupid. people a seriously never satisfied. we trade marshall today and next season or maybe even next game they will be complaining about how we have no good wide receivers and how we should try to trade for one before the deadline. Brandon is a beast.. if we get a better qb next season he will be even better. this season he will have 100 catches and over 1000 yards so get over it.

whom ever started this thread should be Banned from Finheaven...**** if we want more picks let throw Long into the mix...Get a ****ing grip.

I'm sorry I thought this was a place for open dialogue. I didn't realize that you could get banned for stating your opinion. If you don't have anything constructive to add to the thread, then please, don't waist our time by posting your drivel.

Edit: And for those that don't remember, the Cowboys traded a stud running back named Herschel Walker to Minnesotta for multiple draft picks and ended up drafting their dynasty in the following year's draft. It can work and has. If one of these contending teams is willing to sell the farm to put them over the top for the playoffs, then I say we should keep all options open.

Marshall isn't so special that he can't be replaced. No one is, nor should they be.

I agree with most that I don't want them to trade Marshall. The OP has a good point though if someone is willing to overpay for him then it should be considered. By overpay I mean a 1st and 2nd or 1st and 3rd, neither of which are going to happen.

Haven't we learned the lesson that those draft picks can just as easily be nothing?

They used a third round pick on Terrelle Pryor. Now, if that isn't stupid, then I don't know what is.

Well our guys took Pat White with a high second and then a year later he cant even make an nfl team on practice squad so our guys are even more stupid lol

It's amazing that after all of the bitching and moaning about not have a #1, bonafide receiver, we finally get one and 1 year later we don't want him.

This..People need to stop crying and get over it. Hes a great receiver and an asset to the team

Never said there wasn't some risk involved but I would be perfectly fine if they got a 1st and a 2nd. Those picks could amount to nothing, but Marshall could also have a career ending injury or decide to retire on a whim. As I stated I don't want them to trade Marshall, but if someone is going to overpay then it's just bad business not to consider it.
