Maybe its the Marino curse, how we didn't even have Dan Marino on the boards, the Dolphins were going to draft the player they selected in the 2nd round, but when Marino dropped, and it was shocking to me, I nearly went through the roof, because I grew tired of Woodley. But in fairness to Woodley, he got us to the Super Bowl as many times as Marino did
I never had this same sort of feeling about drafting a QB until Drew Brees came out in 2001 and we selected Jamar Fletcher, with I believe was the "27th pick, I was so angry we passed on him, that I threw a small TV in my room and tearing my carpet, and posted it on the DD.
Drew Brees was immediately drafted in the 2nd round, by the first team up, the Chargers, I believe the 32-33rd pick, something like that, and then we took Culpepper over Brees during free agency. Needless to say, the rest is history.
