Alrighty, guess that ends this threads discussion then.

Elton Brown walked out on the Senior Bown and the Combine, which along with his attitude, caused his stock to fall. Then.....

The Associated Press reports Arizona Cardinals rookie OG Elton Brown pleaded guilty Friday, July 15, to a concealed weapon charge stemming from an altercation at a mall in May. He was sentenced to a 10-day suspended jail term and ordered to pay court costs of $66. A charge of brandishing a firearm was dismissed because Brown didn't point the gun at anyone lawyer Larry Woodward said.

Helluva way to start your rookie season. I'll take Travis Daniels, a guy who has the heart and desire, over a guy with attitude and work ethic issues.

travis daniels is going to start! we probably wouldnt of gotten a starter out of brown, with jeno in one spot and rex/middleton in the other, i have no problem with us not drafting elton brown because our rookies are doing very well in camp, even our seventh rounder kevin vickerson.

Daniels also has skills. He's also starting as a rookie at one of the most difficut positions in football.

There are reasons (stated above) why Daniels went right about where he should have and Brown went three rounds lower.

If Elton Brown was any good the Patriots would've taken him instead of Logan Mankins at the end of the 1st round. Chris Chambers can't believe Travis Daniels was a 4th round pick and has said he's a definite NFL starter. I'll take that endorsement over Brown anyday. Plus, we now have Frank Middleton, whose track record beats Brown's by a mile. Chambers has also said Daniels has been his toughest cover guy in camp, and that includes Madison.

Well, not to be a downer on ya but Brown went in the same round. The 4th.

I'm assuming you meant picks lower. I'm cool with Daniels because let's not forget we're also getting old at CB and installing a new system. One that Saban will need his type of CB's to play in.

We actually some younger players on the O-line so I am ok with not getting Brown. Would have been nice to find a way to finagle a few more choices this year though. That draft was deep.
