We Signed A Punter

I also found something very interesting about Jones. He wore #9 last year with the Seahawks, so maybe we are gonna have a new #9.
 
The skinny on Donnie Jones. He has the talent but for some reason or another he can be inconsistent. If he kicks to his ability every time out, you will have something.

I guess you could say that about any punter in the NFL.
 
Nick should worry more about our kicker instead of out punter...Turk is doing great by me, as for Olindo Mare....he is overpaid and has lost it. :rolleyes:
 
Punters may not be a "sexy" position. But controlling field position can determine the outcome of a tight game. Look at how Royals poor punting contributed to the season-ending defeat to the Pats in '02 costing us the playoffs. I remember Roby was a being a big weapon for us back in the day.

Wes has been a kicker, returner, special teams, tackler, and a reciever last year he probably doesnt want to add back up punter to his resume.

colquitt out of Tennessee was rated one of the highest if not #1...but Ill have to admit he was inconsistant at times....at times shanks were his favorite cut of meat.

I know you guys will laugh, but up here in Winnipeg we have a punter in the CFL that is awesome. He will make it in the NFL for sure. His average after 5 games is 52.3 yards per punt and his net is 42.6 (we have no yards penalties up here so the returns are longer) The guys name is Jon Ryan
