I would say it is like celebrating going to the store and picking up milk after there has been a milk shortage and you haven't been able to get milk for months AND it is a good price.
Call it what you will, it's still a fairly routine deal and not a team changing mega-signing.

By the way I saw that Brock Marion was still on the free agent list...anyone know how he played last year....my guess is he would not even be worth bringing in but let me know...just curious

alright miami woooooooooooooooooo............ :D :nesucks: :billsbite :jetssuck: :monkeyl: :rocker:

man i love the signing, but i didn't know shulters was 30, do you think that with the injury he had last year and with his age he can get the job done?
You're makin' me feel old. :D

Didn't really watch the Lions play, but if they cut him then he is probably done.

He was in Detriot was he not?

I guess we could bring him into camp, we seem to be getting better at safty though

T-Buck would be a good late signing

This is good news and bad news at the same time for me. Good news as we upgrade the FS position..... bad news is it seems that we dont have much faith in Tillman or Bell. We all know Schulters is not a long term solution, so it looks like we might need a starting FS, SS, and a nickelback next year. I was really hoping Bell would have a breakout year at FS but with the signing of Schulters, it makes you question Saban's faith in our FS corps.

Just looked up Brock Marion's stats----65 tackles and 3 pics last year for Lions---of course he could have gotten burnt 50 times by guys in the back of the end zone like he always used to do here.

The problem is that Bell doesnt really have any experience... he has been injured all the time. He should definatly get some playing time and experience this season and hopefully make the transition to starter next year... if not... Saban will find someone...

Nasty

Yeah, stats only tell half the story I'm sure.

huh, I buy milk once a week. Miami doesn't sign a veteran like Lance once a week.

We've actually signed a few this off season. Former probowlers or elite players a little past the best before date.
