We TOTALLY screwed ourselves not taking Nugent!

The day I am jealous of a jest draft pick, please pull the plug.
 
imo i think we shoud of picked up either kyle orton or charlie frye in this postion we need a future quarterback. feeley will fill in the shoes for a few years. but we need a quarterback to learn the system now in case feeley does not live up to his expectations. so those two quarterbacks will fill in nicely in are system

TO BEAT US IN THE FUTURE. Make no mistake, there will be games down the road that come down to the wire and Nugent will give the Jets important divisional wins over this.

I REALLY hate this and I am BEYOND pissed off at our 2nd round decisions :yell: :fire: :yell: :fire:

Unfortunately I think this poster is 100% serious. We have Olindo Mare, who on his worst day is a top 10 kicker in the league. Get a clue.
 
Bottom line you don't take a kicker in the 2nd round unless you have young talent at EVERY position. I love that the Jets passed on a player like Justin Miller. Chambers and Booker will benefit from it.
 
Maybe we can trade ronnie Brown to the jets for Nugent!!!

Wow. Its hard to believe your jealous of the jets for taking a frigging kicker. Thats just amazing. As for your suggestion that he will kick some game winning field goals for the Jets, thats fine. The jets will never make it downfield to kick the winning field goal because Matt Roth is going plant Pennington in the ground.
 
I was hoping we'd draft Khalif Barnes over Matt Roth. I was a bit confused and disappointed when drafted Roth, but he is a tremendous athlete; just think we had much bigger needs... and Barnes was there. But in no way would I have wanted us to draft Nugent in the 2nd round. Saban's smart enough not to spend a 2nd round pick on a kicker, and just to show proof to that fact, the Jets got him. Roth was a pretty good pick, I think we should've went with Barnes though... but THANK GOD we didn't take Nugent with our 2nd.

STUPIDEST...POST...EVER. :shakeno: Sorry for yelling, but, I mean, c'mon.
 
You all won't be laughing when he kicks game winning field goals against us.

To say kickers are a throwaway position that you can always pick up late in the draft / undrafted is ignorant. If Mare is a top 10 kicker then why the hell do I have no faith in him everytime he lines up to kick from past the 30 yard line.

Whatever, you can point and laugh all you want, but he would of been a solid LONG TERM pickup for the Dolphins. Everytime Mare, with his hugely overpaid contract, continues to **** up in the next few seasons as his play declines, remember this post.
