To say kickers are a throwaway position that you can always pick up late in the draft / undrafted is ignorant. If Mare is a top 10 kicker then why the hell do I have no faith in him everytime he lines up to kick from past the 30 yard line.

And every time roth sacks pennington/fieldler i will laugh at this post. How many quarterback hurries, sacks, tackles are there in a game. How many game winning field goals are there. With this guy we wont need game winning field goals. Dont be a jealous jets fan posing as a dolphins fan. Because Jets picked a fourth rounder in the 2nd. Even there fans were booing the pick, whats that tell you.
 
ESPN is still rippin on the kicker pick and they love the jets.

Go figure they got the pick they were saying jets should have gotten in the first place.

Whatever, you can point and laugh all you want, but he would of been a solid LONG TERM pickup for the Dolphins. Everytime Mare, with his hugely overpaid contract, continues to **** up in the next few seasons as his play declines, remember this post.

Mare is #3 all-time in FG percentage, and he may be the best in the league on kickoffs. We don't need a kicker.
 
when i first read the thread title i thought it was a sarcastic joke, but this is actually serious?

this guy is gonna suck on kick offs. which makes this pick even more ridiculous. our starting feild position when we play the jets is gonna be the 45 yd line! :roflmao:

btw. do you guys think Saban would've traded Mare to the Jets for that pick?

some of you people should stop criticizing other people and listen to what you are saying. olindo hasnt done crap for us over the past 2 years and takes up way to much cap space. nyugent would have done more than mare at less than half the salary of mare. oh and by the way, if it was vinetari, i would take him in a heartbeat with that second round pick. so to all of you who are calling that guy stupid for wanting nyugent, shut the hell up and watch what is really going on. because if you think olindo is doing well right now, you my friends are the stupid ones.

Mare was 75% last year and he was injured. Kicker is hardly the biggest need for this team right now. The D line was beat up bad last year.

Saban took a player who was projected by many to go in the 1st. How can that be bad?

well they said on their breakdown that he is going to have problems with kick offs. is that someone you really want to take in the 2nd round???? if you're gonna draft a kicker that high he better be super accurate AND be booming them in to the end zone on kick offs as well. this guy is not worth using a 2nd round draft pick.

they are horrible in NBA and NFL because they are bias. But the pre-scouting they cant be bias so its more accuarte than there usual crap. The problem with ESPN is they wont shut up about the people(Lebron, Kobe) they hype and the teams they hype(NEW ENGLAND). When we have a kicker than can do alot but kick on dirt, and when jets choose the highest choice kicker since janikowski somthing is stupid with that pick. Do you really want to be that team that choose the 2nd highest choosen kicker in over a decade. We can unload mare, but draft a kicker who is not that much of a dropoff if any in the 2nd day. Its just smarter.

And ESPN loves the jets so for them to rip on them it is big. Thats like them ripping on belichick if it happens it must be a stupid manuver.
