so are you saying since the records are similar you would rather have Tannehill over Rivers? The dolphins week 1 performance should lend enough credence to the fact that you should put zero stock in week.1 of the NFL.
All I want is a qb that can be slightly above average at the entire route tree. Is that too much to ask? If Tannehill makes a few more on targrt throws today, the outcome is different. The throw to gibson at the 5-10 yard line comes to mind, flat pass to Miller that doesnt lead him near the endzone, one to wallace in the middle of the field that he had to come back on that was broken up and the pass fake screen back to Sims that was overthrown.
Every damn week it's the same thing and these sans the deep ball are suppossed to be the easy ones!
All I want for christmas is a QB.... Your post is right on! I am a Dolphin fan before I am a Tannehill fan... alot of posters on here confuse them...
Has this thread become a Tannehill vs Phillip Rivers thread? Err, I'll take Rivers please.

All I'm saying is even though rivers is good it takes an entire team to win...and our whole team played poorly today. We had no pressure on d, couldn't make big stops, couldn't move the ball on the ground or in the air, o line was getting pus h ed back and of course special teams was atrocious.
Lauren, is that you?All I'm saying is even though rivers is good it takes an entire team to win...and our whole team played poorly today. I hated Henne, I hated Jamar Fletcher, I hated Travis Daniels, I hated Chris Crocker, I hated Jason Allen, I hated Ted Ginn... I don't hate Tannehill yet, but I am highly critical of him and don't trust that he will be a Dolphin for long...how about you watch the games and tell me if he will be our quarterback in 2 years... use your mind and your eyes to see...No you are a tannehill hater before you are a dolphin "fan." Your post history verifies that. If you at least would admit that, it would be one thing. However you continue to hide from the Truth in an attempt to gain credibility and it's just sad.

Tannehill might be the worst QB I have ever seen.
Well except for maybe John Beck. Or Cleo Lemon. Or Daunte Culpepper.
Heh. Twisted logic being applied in this thread. But even if we were using that as a measure of ability, when is Tannehill going to lead his team to 13 and 14 win seasons because Rivers has done that and has a substantially higher career winning pct. Aside from team success, individual statistical success, eyeball tests, I don't understand how this even comes into the conversation. Poor seasons and poor games can be aberrational as long as there are prior examples of success. Tannehill's never shown the level of ability and success Rivers did very early in his career. Why? Apparently team records is solely predicated on the qb. Apparently Tannehill and Rivers have identical abilities because of their records....
Yawn.....this stuff gets old.
Some fans like Tannehill some don't...we get it. Tannehill is the QB of this team and that doesn't look like it is going to change anytime soon.
For me, I'm not writing him or the season off after two games. I didn't like what I saw in the first half last week but really liked his play in the 2nd half against the pats. This week, not very good. Still a long way to go and we are in the thick of it at 1-1.
And don't give me the Tannehill homer BS.......there is no reason to panic or not think that we will continue to improve.
