Has a football game ever been called for anything short of a hurricane?

I've never heard of such a thing.

We had a game in High School get called because of severe lightning...of course, the tornado warnings for the county north of us didn't help either.

I've only seen the kickoff of an NFL game get delayed because of lightning (I think it was a Giants preseason game about 5 or 6 years ago) but it only delayed the game for like 35 minutes.

I don't really care what the score is either, but I'd like to see a strong showing from our 1st team. What I'd also like to see on the first series is a fly route to stretch the field on the first play (or at least on one of the drives) -- to whatever side Troy Polamalu isn't covering. Even if they throw a pick it would be good to stretch the field.

I spent two hours of kissing a$$ and sucking up to my better half aka fiance so I could watch the game.

I don't think ant more of our games are on primetime this year. Unless you have Sunday Ticket, you are out of luck. There will be local coverage like if you get the Pats, Jets, Bills games in the northeast, I think.
