Weaknesses Exposed!!!

Week 5 the Dolphins will have to rush JP, and pray that they can get to him before :

A) He lobs a bomb to a wide open Wr ( there will be open recievers)

B) takes off running.

Against the run they would be best off taking the angle on McGahee and tackling him low, because he's faster and bigger than last year, anyone who can catch him won't be able to bring him down after a nasty stiff arm, and anyone who could bring him down won't be able to catch him.

I can't wait.

Of course.

Denver,
Defence - Need to stop the running game and force Plummer to throw the ball while keeping him in the pocket, he is horrible at throwing from the pocket, but will kill you when gets to roll out and buy time.

Offense- need to run the ball, they have clevelands d-line which was horrible against the run last year, and throw deep on Champ Bailey, he gets beat deep more than most corners in the NFL.

I personally think we need to Blitz our A$$es off against buffalo #1 to check your O-line and see if its a weakness #2 to hopefully force Losman into some bad reads #3 to stop Mcgahee before he gets going....The problem is it could blow up in our faces but I think its the best bet jmo.

First off, there may be some open reciever because buffalo has good WR talent, but there won't be the opportunity for bombs in my opinion. We have an experienced D line that will not allow for a lot of time to throw...especially when loseman will still be wearing depends undergarments. I'm more worried about the short hitches that grab 10-15 yards per catch. The running game might be an issue, because I'm not sure we have the talent at CB to run a 3-4 against a QB who isn't prone to running around a lot. It will be a battle of the lines all game IMO. Bills still suck though. (just the kid in me there...couldn't resist.)

Hey fellow Intelligents...

I'm starting it off with that call sign because I want to spell this out immediately...

THIS IS BIG BOY TALK...lets try to keep pure opinions out...facts are best.

Let's try to isolate the weaknesses of the opponents in our schedule...I've listed it below. Try to put yourself in the shoes of Saban and tell us what you would focus on to beat the other teams. I.E. Buffalo will probably try to run a lot with Mgahee, avoid putting Loseman in pressure situations. How do we stop that? Then on offense as well, can we expose a defensive weakness in any of these teams. Let me know what you think, because I think the only way we beat teams this year is going to be if we can successfully outsmart them.

Good Luck folks!!!

To beat Denver, we have to get pressure up the middle because Jake won't be able to run outside to buy time. Our DEs will be on him like stink on s**t. If we get in his face, we create INTs and WILL win the game.

To beat the Jets, sack Pennington early. It will break something on him. He's like a paper doll. they will bring Fiedler in and the rest is history. (There are rumors Chad may not be ready for the opener)

To beat Carolina: This is a tough one. They can get great pressure. We'll have to run the ball well and alot and be effiecient with short passes and use play action to set up a few long ones. Defensively, we'll have to shut down Steve Smith. The guy is unreal. All of their RBs are questionable. DeShaun Foster is injured alot, Stephen Davis won't be ready for camp and won't be himself and then there is the rookie RB. They will have to beat us through the air.

Buffalo: Pressure Losman. Any inexperienced QB makes mistakes when pressured. Focus first on McGahee. Shut down the running game and take away play action. Play action will be Losman's best chance to be successful against us.
We'll use a balanced offensive attack against the Bills. We will have to keep their defense honest.

Tampa Bay: A Steady dose of Ricky and Ronnie will wear out there defensive front. Griese has played well for the Bucs. We'll have to get some pressure from the edges and force him to move around.

Kansas City: YIKES. This will be a big...no HUGE test...for our defense- particularly our secondary. If we don't get pressure on Trent Green, we might get picked apart. Of course there is Priest Holmes - what a nightmare. Our best chance is to get pressure on Green and put him on his back alot. We will have to run the ball well and keep their offense off the field. Ricky's freshness and power will be helpful here as will, of course, Ronnie's versatility.

New Orleans: Pressure Brooks and he will be our best player. He will self destruct under pressure and hand the game to us. Stopping Deuce will be the biggest problem. I don't think we'll have major problems scoring on the Saints. ALSO, Ricky will play extra hard in his first game against his old team.

Atlanta: Make Vick PASS. He can't!!! We have to contain him first. I think we'll be able to score with Atlanta. We'll just have to keep Vick from making big plays with his legs.

That's half of the season. I am work and don't have much time to do the eight I did, much less talk about all 16.

Not to be an *** here but all of this is opinion and speculation until the game is actually played and the score is final is anything "fact". I mean last year, the Dolphins at 3-12 all the "facts" would have them losing to the eventual SB winner Pats but the Fish somehow pull off a win. You can speculate all you want but to quote ESPN's Chris Bermann, "that's why they play the game".

Actually you may not even need to blitz, you'll know Losman by week five,... he could very well throw INT's on his own, W/o pressure.

Personally I figure he'll have 15 or 16 TD's by them :)

There were last year. And you're secondary is weaker.

Just stating facts.

Not the same system, Losman.

Yeah, Buffalo's gonna complete some passes on us, but you act as if every snap JP is going to have all day and just lob it up for a TD.

You think Chambers isn't going to beat Mcgee?

Anyone cornerback won't be able to bring him down. This is the NFL, head to head linebackers win a majority of the time. Hell Zach Thomas brought down Jerome Bettis, there is NO WAY McGahee is bigger, stronger than a younger Jerome Bettis.

To beat Loseman the best thing would be to stop the run and confuse him. It will be his first year starting. The best thing to do against young quarterbacks is to make them confused and put the game on them.

We know it is. But that's what it's all about. This isn't about thinking we are throwing facts out there. It's about giving an educated guess. No harm in it.

It need to be our LBs making the Hit so Of course we need to keep him from the outside...that should be a great matchup..one I look forward to seeing.

We're gonna blitz the bejesus out of him.

Good luck, Mike Gandy!

Very funny about the paperdoll comment. I agree with the broncos. KC will be so tough. They have a great...GREAT Oline, so blitzing is tough. I'd say priest is getting old, but then they have the other guy that had like 9 TDs in 3 games. Buffalo will be tough with Evans as the burner and yet still having to stop a pretty decent running game. No question about TB and NO. They are both glass houses just waiting for a team with some Stones to play them.
