Here are the power rankings from ESPN and CBS. I also added one from Walter Football, which is decent enough in it's analysis for why it ranked the Dolphins where they did and why he ranked the Jets and the Bills 30 and 32 in the league. Take these rankings as you may. They don't seem horribly out of place and ESPN continues to show they pluck their content from their assholes. Not disagreeing with their ranking of the team per se, but just their overall ability to predict anything at all, being complete ****, and lacking any credibility whatsoever except for breaking news. For reference look up the Michael Sam locker room showering article (real thing by Josina Anderson: http://www.si.com/nfl/2014/09/01/michael-sam-espn-josina-anderson-showering-report).
ESPN:
http://espn.go.com/nfl/powerrankings/_/year/2014/week/1: can't agree with the Jets being higher than the Dolphins in any circumstance. This is a joke. Okay, I get them putting the Dolphins at 22, but the Jets anywhere above 25 is nonsensical going into week one considering their secondary is pretty much in shambles. Their analysis of the team doesn't seem to match their ranking.
CBS:
http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/powerrankings: Not much of an analysis, but it is a great point. If Tannehill breaks that stat barrier, it is probably a sign of great things to come...as long as he keeps his TD/INT ratio as disparate as possible.
Walter Football:
http://walterfootball.com/nflpowerrankings.php: This sounds like a homer analysis, so by default, I'm going to agree with it. From what everyone outside of South Florida media is talking about is how the Dolphins got wrecked on the line last year and how now Lazor is the new guy in town. Nothing about improvement. They don't make an effort to dig deeper into anything more than the same 5 teams and same 10 players. The rest of the rankings on this site are pretty bad overall, but it's always humorous to see the Jets and Bills so far down the list and him talking trash about terrific Tom.
15.
Miami Dolphins (8-8) - Previously: 26.
Miami's offensive line has held up well this preseason, and Ryan Tannehill has thrived as a consequence. It also helps that Tannehill gets to work with a real offensive coordinator this year instead of the overwhelmed Mike Sherman. The Dolphins will be decent this season, and they will be in contention for a playoff spot, but they're still light years away from challenging the Patriots.

21 | Jets 8-8 | -- Last Week: 21 | After releasing Dimitri Patterson, who was signed to replace Antonio Cromartie, the only cornerbacks with at least 400 snaps last year on the roster are Dee Milliner and Kyle Wilson. |
22 | Dolphins 8-8 | 2 Last Week: 24 | If the brand-new offensive line can keep Ryan Tannehill upright, the Dolphins' offense could be interesting. Jarvis Landry and Knowshon Moreno will join Mike Wallace, Charles Clay and Lamar Miller. |

19 | This is all about the growth of Ryan Tannehill. Can he get to 30 touchdown passes and 4,000 yards? |
