Wembley ~ Noise Factor!?

I'm a season ticket holder at Southampton FC and yes football (soccer) crowds are far more intense than NFL crowds. The crowd has to be segregated. Away fans aren't allowed in the home end, if they did get in they would survive for about 5 mins. The atmosphere is unlike any other you get at a sporting event (one of the reasons it's the most popular sport in the world).

Phinglish, I shall also be at Wembley this Friday, I can't wait!!

kind of off topic but what would be one of the best soccer games to see that I would still be able to get tickets for .... what two teams? I really want to go sometime in the future.

The fixture list is announced in a couple of weeks for next season.

As for who to watch, Arsenal have a really nice, brand new ground but the atmosphere there is pretty poor. Tickets to watch Chelsea are expensive and Chelsea are boring to watch. My advice would be to try and get tickets to see Tottenham, they are a good team to watch and the atmosphere at White Hart Lane is normally pretty good. If not take a trip to Manchester and watch United. Though book well in advance as their games are always sold out.

Goose, Bizarrely, I'm going to the game with a Saints fan (not New Orleans(!)). It is going to be some experience and we'll be a part of history. 90k in that place for an England game is ging to be very, very special.

We'll be drinking in either Ruislip or Shepherd's Bush prior, do you know where abouts you're sitting?

I'm in block 112 and have no idea where I'm drinking yet. Won't be round Wembley as the area is a dump.

Where abouts you sat?

I think one of the best sights in sport is to watch/hear the Anfield crowd singing 'You'll never walk alone'... Anfield is the home ground of Liverpool FC - and, even as a non-scouser and non-liverpool fan, it brings a lump to my throat...

Go to youtube and do a search on 'anfield never walk alone'....

Agreed, when in full voice The Kop is deafening.

I've been to Anfield to see Saints play quite a few times and it never gets boring watching them sing "you'll never walk alone".

At wembley, and any ''soccer'' stadium around the UK. you can bring in noise makers, Fog horns, and all sorts. paar paaar paaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar...... im thinkin wembley wont pick up on this for the fins ~ Giants game......... meaning........... when we hear. 3rd down giants....... ill be poppin them horns hehe PAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARP.......

anyone know if they will emply restrictions, as i dont think they will know about it!?

I hate those horns. And i hate those drums at England games. Gets annoying. Id rather hear crowd noise than poxy bugles and drums.

I'm not sure what block off the top of my head, I'll have a look tonight. Yes, we've taken the option to avoid Wembley until we plan on entering the ground. I head a rumour they were charging £17 for a programme and drink. I think I might instead frequent my regular Loftus Road haunts in the Bush. There's some good old fashioned pubs on the Uxbridge Road, with tube stations easily walkable. That also avoids the parking in Wembley problem.

I'm a huge Arsenal fan, but for atmosphere you really can't beat watching Liverpool play at home. If it's going to be one game for you, make it a Liverpool game at Anfield, you will never forget it.

Wembley

firstly. I wanna go to the England Brazil!!!! not fair. and not payin £200 + for a ticket liek on ebay. Sucks!

right.... Just a hint for all those that are going to Wembley to see the Fins pound the Giants. Bring Fog horns and noisemakers! I think they will allow them. im sure they used to for the London Monarchs Matches, and i went for a whole season + to those! Im sure this will be a 85% Miami Supporters to 10% Giants fans, and 5% neutral.

LETS GO DOOOOLFANS! PUH PUH PUPUPUUUUH LETS GO DOLFANS! hehe

Does anyone have any youtube vids of Dolphins games, Corwd noise/songs etc?????
:ninja:

I dont think so mate, I imagine the majority will be neutrals, depends how many yanks come over for the game though I suppose.

I browse the NFLUK forum and most of the people on there with tickets aren't Dolphin fans.

guess ill have to bringa few more fog horns then to make up for the loosers lol

I still think the majority will be in Aqua! ;-)

soccer what we call football is WAY MORE intense. the crowds here, DONT sit together/mingle. its away fans one end, home fans the other. and its Songs all the way through, along with abusive banter that thousands all sing and shout at the same time.

at pro player ''fin stadium'' you get only noise on 3rd downs...... slight on 1st and second. and the banjo song when we score..... ya know...... the usual, but you dont get 60-80 thousands fans all chanting songs to intimidate the apponent. This wold be so cool if it picked up....

but i doubt it ever will.

like say if a player missed the goal in soccer, everyone would almost all shout at the same time, aaaaaaaaaaghhhhh WAAAAN*EEEER!!!!! make the player feel like crap..... then shout stuf like, WHOO ARE YA??? WHOOO ARE YA? thousands shouting and pointing! lol.

spose just a different sport..... but then again, in american footy, ya dont get the violence and thugish hoolagonism. so take the rough with the smooth............. until Wembley Oct 28th! hehe

The noise in soccer stadium it's bigger no doubt, but UK or entire Europe aren't the best in that department, if you really feel the noise, you must come to Southamerica to se clasics between Boca Jrs-River Plate or Colo Colo-U. de Chile; and don't forget the Maracana Stadium at Brasil, it's huge and the passion it's amazing.

Just the entrance of the team into the field makes the crowd crazy with fireworks, noise bombs, lights, lot of paper and much of noise. Seattle it's nothing compare this.

Miami are amazingly well backed over here. Mainly because of Dan Marino and it's heritage. And Ace Ventura of course!

Most people willing to pay the £££ for the ticket will either be very curious neutrals, leaning toward Miami and UK based Dolphins fans. There certainly wont be much noise for any Burress catches, that's for sure.
