Wendell Bryant released by cards.

If Denny Green couldn't do it I don't see why Saban would be able to.
My concern also, but it could have simply been a fact of his contract not being worth waiting for him to play up to it. He was still on his rooke deal & the fact he was something like the 12th pick probably means he is making a little money now.

don't need anymore defensive linemen. Better find a corner though
Disagree. With the questions around Chester & the age of Zgonina, I think Miami has a need there, even with Wright & Vickerson.

Right now I think Miami needs to use the JJ method of drafting. Throw as much crap up against the wall & see what sticks.

D.Bowens
JT
Carter
Holliday
Chester
Zgonia
Wright
Roth

8 locks to make the team. That is a nice little rotation. I am more concerend with CB and TE and I think we need to add players there before we add another d-linemen.

I'd like for the Dolphins to sign him. He's 24 years old, obviously has some kind of upside, and fits well as a 3-4 DE and at either DE or DT in the 4-3.

He got a 4-game suspension last year for violating the league's substance abuse policy after a DUI. That means he has two strikes, correct??

Miami has been trying to get rid of Zgonia all off season and chester has health concerns. i would hardly say they are locks. in fact i would say JT is the only real lock to make the team.

Denny isn't known for making his players respect him, he couldn't control his boys in MN, and I doubt he can do it anywhere else.

While I respect everyones opinion.................Why is it every person who gets cut has someone on here saying we should sign him? We only have so many roster spots available people. Do we really want a team of other teams castoffs. Come on if the guy had ability the Cards would have kept him. If Dennis Green can put up with Randy Moss for all those years he would definitely keep a guy that would have made his D-line better. Can anyone even name a player on the cards d-line right now?
I realize it is fun to bounce around ideas but get real people.

Yeah, just like when the eagles got rid of chris carter. what the heck where the vikings thinking of when they picked him. as we all know it is impossible for a player to turn his career around after getting released.

fact is he is young and has talent. most of our DTs are ageing vets. he showed flashes of greatness with the cards he was just inconsistent. so if we could get him and spark his career it would be a good pick up since like i said most are current DTs are ageing vets.

I don't know the cap implications, but I don't think Vonnie Holliday is a lock. If Wendall Bryant wasn't taken in the 1st rd, nobody would know who he is.

Heck yeah, that's easy. The Cards have a very promising young and talented DL group. I'd love to have Darnell Dockett, one of the biggest steals of the '04 draft who had a fine rookie year. Bertrand Berry is a very solid RDE and one of the better pass rushers around.

Agree

D line isnt the pressing need on this team. We should be fine with the D line and I know more than Jason Taylor are locks. Kevin Carter a guy who still has gas left in the tank and has NEVER missed on game is a LOCK. David Bowens 7 sacks on this team last year is a LOCK. We are all pretty sure Matt Roth is a LOCK. Keith Traylor ? We can stuff him between to ends or along side another DT to stuff a hole, he is a LOCK.

Vickerson wasn't even on the LOCK list, but has looked good in practice. Wright will make the team. Lets not forget, Vonnie Holliday, who might not have been able to handle double teams for the Chiefs, but wont have to face that here.

WR, RB'S and DL are the deepest positions on the team. Lets look at a CENTER and another Corner first. I feel pretty good about the LB'S on this team, but wouldn't mind having some cap room to take a look at one that becomes available.

How is Wright a lock?
Because they spent a 2006 pick on him. I'd hate to have to pay for him and he not be on the team, plus his upside will keep him on the team for at least a couple of years.

Yea, but for the DT spot alone I just see Miami as being thin. Not that Bryant would make it thicker. If he shows up and performs the JZ could be moved to another team. He is on his last leg.
