Were the critics (Haslett) right about Tebucky?

I looked it up and he was quoted as saying, "He doesn't have very good balls skills. He struggles in space. He really can't catch a football. It's the oddest thing I've seen. I think (Nick) he took him because there was nobody else."

wasn't haslett trying to use him as a FS because of his athleticism? SS is a better position for someone without ball skills...

I remember how Jim Haslett criticized Tebucky Jones when he was traded basically saying that the guy can't cover and isn't that good. As dolfans, many of us fired back at Haslett talking about what an a@@ Haslett is, etc. etc. In hindsight, could Haslett have been right? I know Jones is a bit injured but all I've read and seen has not made Jones discredit his critics. In some ways, I can see him not make the team if he keeps it up. I'd rather keep a younger guy that may make the same mistakes that Jones has been making but at least he has a chance to improve. Personally, I'd love for a playmaker to fall out of the sky and into our laps but I doubt that's going to happen.

im sure we all wish a playmaker would fall out of the sky for our secondary. but while we are at it lets wihs for a qb and some help wiht the borwn situation.
