Wes Welker already...

we can only hope. i never flinch when hes out there catching the ball. i hope to god they dont get rid of him, in favor of a player such as az hakim, id jump off a bridge
 
Everyone seems to love this guy but I have a feeling he will not make the team and he might be a late cut. I think Saban will feel he can only be a return man. I don't care if he stays or gets cut but for all those Welker lovers remember San Diego cut him and he is on the bubble

Why does it matter if he's only a reutrn man? He was one of the best return specialists in the league last year, and special teams can sometimes decide games.. He's not a cap casulaty or any financial problem whatsoever. We haven't had a good kick/punt returned in so many years and look how bad it has hurt us in the Special Teams department. I don't think Welker will get cut unless he has a bad season this year, and I don't think he will be having a bad season at all. If Saban cuts Welker, that would be a HUGE mistake in my opinion. If you want to save roster space... Cut Travis Minor, Taylor Whitley, Seth McKinney.. etc. Don't cut WES WELKER! :rawk:

The last thing we need to do is cut a reliable kick returner for a speedy bobbler with potential.
 
Wes Welker also has the most punt returns for a TD career wise in NCAA history with 8...he also NEVER once called for a fair catch on any punt returns in college.... That guy is awesome...I might get an orange Welker jersey or a Roth. :)
 
imagine the uproar on this board if saban was to cut welker. hes becoming one of my favorite players...gotta love the underdog
 
I'm not saying to cut him I just don't think he is as good as the rest of you do and before you go out and but your jersey just make sure he makes the team.

You don't know if he is a SABAN type player or not. Maybe Saban wants faster guys????
