Wes Welker

Wes has his spot locked up as a punt and kickoff returner...McQuarters is gonna have a hard time just making the team....BUT I think competition is good...makes the guys work harder!!!

Agreed.. Wes is one of the best returners we've had in a while..

As far as I remember he didnt fumble once last year (well maybe once, but I think it went out right away) and concistency is important in a returner. Plus he's already proven he can take it to the house

Have you ever seen McQuarters play? More than once? This guy is very good. If we get him he will make the team and will more than likely take Welker's job.

I love Welker. The kid plays with alot of heart and if it wasn't for his return in the Patriots game we would have lost. He consistently got us good field position and even busted one all the way against the Ravens. I think he might even be able to contribute as a 5th WR, he was great in college and he has the goods to be great in the NFL as well. Don't release Welker, EVER :shakeno:

Ya know what was funny about Welker? Well really, the fans' reaction. There were always a few guys who recognized Welker did a great job, had good vision, got the job done, but for SOME REASON, were disatisfied because they thought we should find someone "faster". I don't know, that just always struck me as funny. I mean, what more do you want the guy to do?

Finally...other people agree. He isn't going anywhere. It's Welker's job. RWM would be nice for a backup though in case something happened to Wes.

i love welker im sry no way we can get rid of him like stang said hes got heart, thats the most important thing in a player when ur building a "team", doesnt any one thnk mcquaters can play cb? i mean thats his orginal position i think he'll b ifne there but as for kick returner, wes has got my vote

I don't think Welker is going anywhere. We haven't had a returner like him for probably 20 years!

Not only that, he isn't exactly killing our cap.

Welker is the man his job wont be taken unless injury happens or if eddie drummond joins the team

I vote Wes Welker for President, so long as it doesn't interfere with his punt returning/ kick returning/ place kicking duties for the Dolphins

R.W. McQuarters is a very very good return specialist, but I think it would be a terrible idea to get rid of Wes Weslker. First of all, it where's the logic in risking another CB (McQuarters) returning the football when we already lost Poole for the season (in a Mini Camp!). I think Wes Welker is the greatest thing to happen to us in a long time, and it a HUGE part of our special teams and we'd be crazy to let this guy go.
