We've been duped

Yes, our QB situation IS grim. But in Nick's defense, there was no worthy QB at any of our draft positions without us reaching for anyone. Free agents were no better. As far as Gus goes, I think he will elevate himself a little (to a C grade hopefully.) As far as AJ goes, that last game was utterly horrible. How many low throws in a row? Yes the QB position was neglected, but as Im afraid we'll see, so were a couple other positions. I feel significant progress being made this year (barring injury), but I also see many weaknesses being exposed.

I fully agree. Anybody who can't see AJ's talent is blind. Looks like Saban is no better than Wanny, just starting conspiracy's to keep Feeley on the bench.

Good lord I pray this is sarcasm.

report it to the tos! just goes to show anyone who wants to rock the boat regarding the ****y college coach is wrong?
No disagreeing with my opinion is fine.
Making comments about me personally because I have an opinion violates the TOS.

I am not taking that crap this year.

Well we could have had orton in the 4th there were options Saban just refused to draft offense except for the obvious pick where he was at! Face it Saban knows **** about offense and it is showing now more than ever!

Why is everyone jumping all over Saban, the booing things, and then the quarterback "conspiracy threads". Saban is doing a great job as head coach so far.

This was uncalled for. I am reporting it as a personal attack and a violation of the TOS.

I am just not a homer. Sorry guys. I like many things that have happened. I do not think starting Gus and demoting the guy who outplayed the him in three of the five games is right.

You have been reported.

I've been saying for quite some time now that quarterback competitions themselves are almost always a farse 9 times out of 10. If you read any articles I've written on the subject I've said as much many times.

Saban had a difficult choice to make this offseason. AJ Feeley had showed enough lack of talent to conclude that the guy was never going to be a quality starter (don't argue with me, not because I'm saying your opinions don't matter, but because I do not want to open up another discussion about the validity of AJ as a QB) but he had also won over a bit of the locker room by playing through pain and more importantly, beating the Patriots. Yet, there was nobody we could get. Saban was unwilling to draft one of the two QBs available in this draft, probably concluding that neither were worth it, and there were no quality QBs available on the free agent market. Saban asks his new OC Linehan what he thinks and Linehan says coincidentally the backup in minnesota and my best buddy Frerotte is available and I would be willing to bet a lot of money he can perform better than Feeley.

So Saban brings in Frerotte for a competition that has been staged largely as an opportunity to get Frerotte the chance to win the locker room away from Feeley in an atmosphere of fair competition. The coaches felt they knew the outcome of the battle, but that doesn't mean it would have been impossible for Feeley to win. Saban did not HAVE to open the competition back up prior to the Atlanta game.

No doubt in my mind he brought Frerotte in with the understanding that all Frerotte had to do was perform like he has for Linehan in Minnesota and the chances are 99% that he'll beat Feeley for the job. No doubt in my mind, however, that Saban is disappointed with how Frerotte has done so far. So the door was open for Feeley despite the coaches feeling they knew the outcome before it happened.

Based upon what ? lets count the pro bowlers saban has gotten rid of since he has been here Knight, Surtain, was chester a pro bowler? I think so, Saban hasn't doen anything he hasn't earned anything until we win games and if we don't win games it will be on his desicions, I hate mueller but this isn't mueller doign this this is Sabans ****y attitide and the ol'e ballcoach spurrier had the same attitude and it blew up in his face!

wait I forgot about Bowens yet he was injured, and next year he will try to get rid of sam and zach and then if taylor wont play for the chump change saban wants him to play for he will be gone also!

gus scored one for the other team to! take off you blinders the truth is shining to everyone else who actually understands football!

Nope, not taking my blinders off until I am certain that Feeley is gone. I don't want to see anymore of his crap with this team. I have said it once and I will say it again.....we got rid of the WRONG QB when Fiedler was cut. It should have been Feeley standing in the unemployment line. If YOU really understood anything about football, you wouldn't be whining about that piece of crap Feeley. He has done absolutely SQUAT for this team.

:yell: All you impatient fans want to win right away. This organization will take 3 yrs to be a very good team. Just face it, we're not going to the super bowl this year. Stop hating on Saban.:yell: :fire: :fire: :fire:
