that's the point I was trying to make in my post above, kinda.
at least if your always in the game you have a chance to win. just need to find ways to finish and put a team away.

I look at it this way. The Dolphins have played 4 good teams (New Orleans, New England, Cincinnati and Indianapolis) and have gone 2-2 in those games. They have played 4 mediocre to below average teams (Baltimore, Cleveland, Buffalo, San Diego) and have gone 2-2 in those games. They have played two terrible teams (Atlanta and Tampa Bay) and went 1-1. Every game but the New Orleans game was close well into the fourth quarter. They are 3-2 at home and 2-3 on the road. It all adds up to a 5-5 team that is pretty average.

Yea... The man that his team beat the Pats because of a stupid penalty lol. 17 points the Refs gave the pats. All those penalties were on 3rd and failed convertions . They should of been punts
I'm all in favor of having some fun and making the playoffs . . . 2008 was a lot of fun.
But yea, even a playoff berth wouldn't take away from the obvious fact that we need an infusion of talent to bolster the overall depth at most positions.
When you spend the kind of money that Jeff Ireland spent in the offseason, you damn well should be able to ATLEAST compete short term in what is looking to be one of the weakest years in AFC history.
