What are your realistic expectations for year 2 draft 2013

We were talking about how bad our 2012 draft was.. Then they developed.. You know, like how players that are coached up for more than 1 year in an entirely new level of competition normally do.....

This draft will do fine in the coming years.

Jordan- will creat a 3 man rotation more or less spelling Wake and Vernon more often to keep all three fresh.
Taylor- Become the #2 CB starts all games and provides good coverage opposite Grimes
Thomas- Backup or third string G/T
Davis- Becomes the nickle corner
Jenkins- Spells Wheeler more frequently unless wheeler picks up game. More or less stays as the backup SLB
Sims- Stays as the Blocking LB for runs and extra pass blocking. Occasional routes to give him a chance to show what he has in the passing game.
Gilislee- Pushes out Thigpen, becomes returner and occasional tail back. Takes over for miller if he cant improve with a new line upfront.
Sturgis- improves mid range accuracy
Jones- special teams, maybe some safety snaps to spell Jones to keep him fresh.

I believe the thread title says REALISTIC expectations... some of these "expectations" are extreme wishful thinking probably based on your Madden results.

My thoughts exactly.

Jordan will be like Vernon in year 2.

Taylor will play nickel and be a starter by week 10, and stay there.

Jenkins plays more snaps, and does well.

davis plays well, but not a starter.

That would make me happier, but picks 1 2 3 should have been better in 2013.

We know that Philbin and Sherman like the Green Bay way of developing rookies slowly. Where Parcells would throw them in the rookie year, the Packer approach has been more successful, longer term. Hooshoops is probably right that players like Dallas Thomas, Mike Gillislee and Will Davis need to be showing something in training camp. Davis needs to get physically bigger and stronger but his aptitude and confidence in making interceptions is pretty exciting. He could be very good or a complete bust if he hasn't built physical strength.
With the glaring O-line holes, it is significant that Dallas Thomas was not given any opportunity. Even undrafted Brenner got decent playing time ahead of him. The clock is ticking and Dallas is on thin ice. If he is as bad as many think, he brings into question the whole competence of the Scouts, the evaluation criteria, etc. He was a 3rd round draft pick.
I have some serious Gator friends who were surprisingly ambivalent about Gillislee. Some of his touchdowns as a Gator look good when making the needed yardage. However, he's up against better, bigger stronger Defenses in the NFL and I don't know that he's all that good. We have seen little to date but I hope I'm wrong.
Jamar Taylor needs to be shining in Training Camp too. He had injury issues that put him behind from the start. His college tape at Boise State was good.

Looks rough right now. If Jordan turns turns into an 8-10 sack a year guy and one of the early round corners pans out to be a solid starter, I will be happy, at this point
