What did we actually expect?

Best wishes to Tua on a full and complete recovery and to the important decisions he has to make.
With that said WTF has this team have to offer with Skylar at QB. What has the new DC shown us?
I'm again looking at a poorly built roster, a tough schedule and a real shot for last place in the AFC East.
The rose colored glasses are off and I don't see anything good on the horizon
Blessed to be a Miami fan.

Bc Jags wasn’t a big game…and in all likelihood not a good team. They were dumb enough to overpay for a QB of there own.

I did hold him accountable, but this is where YOU can't let it go.........Tua regardless of how much you hate him is FAR from this teams biggest issue. Anyone who has any football IQ would know that.......but keep on pushing that I was right mantra as though Tua has been our biggest issue. By the way, you are absolutely wrong.

There it is again….I don’t hate him. I just knew he wasn’t a franchise QB. Most have been starved for a franchise QB for so long they take an ill informed leap of faith…despite the obvious staring them in the face.

Tua isn’t the issue? How about 3 pics…before he was invariably concussed once again.

When you don't address problems and issues, and actually regress in some instances.......can you really expect a different outcome?

Good post OP. Couldn't agree more.

One quibble: I do think Grier addressed the lack of a legit #3 WR by signing OBJ. The reality is that he wasn't completely healthy to start the season, so we had scrubs out there last night and that led to the first two INTs.

Third INT was on Tua, sure, but also the entire left side of the line had been blown up. I'm usually a very even keel guy, but when I saw Lamm and Cotton out there, I almost went apoplectic. All I could think about was Grier laughing off, yet again, o-line concerns. You're right: he doesn't get it and he never will.

And doing zero to bolster the QB room knowing we had an injury prone starter.

This is a serious question for those who share your point of view, and only you can be honest with yourselves about the answer.

Would it make all of you happier to be wrong about Tua and have him and the Dolphins be successful, or would it make you happier to be right about Miami making a mistake about signing Tua and see the team do poorly so you can say "I told you so"?

Shame on anyone whose first reaction was to think "See, I told everyone on Finheaven so". Let's have just a little dignity and respect for what's happening before we start patting ourselves on the back for something potentially terrible happening to a player on the team we supposedly love.

QB is the most important position. Our QB shrivels in big games and can't stay healthy. And we just gave him a boatload of guaranteed money. So, yes, he absolutely, unequivocally is one of the biggest issues on this team.

I hear you on OBJ, but once again he signs an injured vet. Hopefully it works out in the end.
