Your misery isn’t over, but Miami Dolphins fans don’t have much to complain about these days. You’ve got your first-round drafted quarterback in Ryan Tannehill, who has everything he needs to be a productive west coast quarterback skill wise. And Tannehill already knows Mike Sherman’s offense from their time together at Texas A&M.All this rookie quarterback needs in my opinion is a little slow cooking, and patience from the fan base. You’ve got Cameron Wake signed to a multi-year deal, which keeps the elite pass rusher with the franchise through the 2016 season. The draft was a relative success, filling most of the team’s needs and some….except for a pulling guard and receiver, and I’m not sure this coaching staff can’t make it work with what’s in-house.All that’s lingering out there for those grumpy Dolphins fans is to stress about Jake Long’s status as an impending free agent at the end of this season. And truthfully speaking, that’s not an issue anymore because signing Wake means the Dolphins could slap Long with the franchise tag at the end of the season, virtually guaranteeing he’s with this franchise through 2013.All is well in Dolphins land, and I address those issues during my two conversations with WQAM on Monday. One is a chat with Michael Irvin show, where we get into the impact of the new CBA on the NFL’s landscape, and talk about those Hurricanes who entered the draft early again. And the other is a conversation with Dan Sileo’s show, where we talk about the impact of signing Wake, Long’s status, and what can be done about receiver. On that link you can also find Joe Rose’s interview with Wake, who talks about his long road to the NFL, and to his recent $49 million extension.I’d also like to use this opportunity to announce my Saturday morning talk show on WQAM (560AM) has returned. I’ll be on from 9-11 a.m. talking about South Florida sports, but mostly the Dolphins and football. I know my wheelhouse. We kick the show off this Saturday morning and I hope you’ll tune in.G.G.G.

Oh Omar, we Dolphins fans are a resilient bunch. I'm sure some of us have plenty to whine about... not me though. Hearing Tony Sparano talk about Tim Tebow and the Wildbow puts a smile on my face. Couple that with the fact that i truly believe that we're on the up and up, and i'm A-OK.

The offseason just seems to get longer and longer, doesn't it?

I'm sure the safety position, as well as the WRs and Long's contract, as Armando mentioned, can still be sticking points.

Yet, it's still the offseason. Let's play some games before we declare everything's all right. I'm thrilled with the steps taken by the team, but until the games are played...

isn't omar kelly the same idiot that said jake long was on his way out in miami?

We should all be sooooo ****ing gleefull about our one awesome playoff appearance in the last decade... Although some on this board actually are, and continue to have faith in proven ****-tards.

I'm hopeful as usual (or wishful) but I'll believe the success when I see it in the form of big Wins.

We can whine about the sorry excuse for reporters who cover the Miami Dolpins for a living, Izzy Gould aside.

We can whine about Omar being the Dolphins' reporter.

have faith in this team's fanbase omar, they can always find something negative to bitch about.

That's funny, who will be the first one to write a negative, whining article over there after they get tired of writing about the Dolphin players haircuts, jewelry, cars and favorite rap artists?

Will it be Omar, Hyde or that other guy who is even more shallow and clueless about the NFL, Bernardino?

For all the attention that the media have given the 'fans dissatisfaction' over here, it was all in response to either media articles or quotes attributed to Ross. If you take that stuff out of the equation then the fans here are just like the fans in any NFL city that didn't win the Super Bowl.

Hey Omar...in case you are reading this.....why are you always focused on Miami Dolphin fans, and not the team? Why are you always running your mouth on Twitter about the celebrity you ran into, or where you had dinner? We don't care. YOU are not a celebrity....you are a Dolphin's beat writer, and you do a very crappy job of it. Write columns about the Phins. Take some time to do some original research about the Phins, and evaluate their stats, and the types of offenses/defenses they may run in 2012.....and leave the man crushes about DWade and LeBron to the society columns.
