Yes some of the local businesses may suffer, butabout 85 - 90% of the attendance of a home game is people who live in the city that don't need to stay in a hotel, eat out at a restaraunt and will spend the majority of their $$ @ the stadium. Think about the tax dollars spent on crowd control, traffic, and security envolved with just one game. Also think about the number of people going to sports bars and like establishments to enjoy the game. If an extra 25,000 - 50,000 seats can be sold at higher prices to people in those other cities than that is income the NFL and gets redistributed to the teams and then back to each local economy.
The profit and loss for the local economy would just about even out, but the $$ earned for the league and exposure would be very valuable to the sport as a whole. Just my opinion though...
Unfortunatly Paul (DUMBA$$) Tabgli??? ( however you spell his name ) will ultamitelly decide and he will probably base it on whichever way he can possibly benefit the most. He makes some STUPID decisions about the league...
