I know this will probably never happen but why dont we trade gordon and david bowens to the eagles for a 3rd, then move holliday back to DE, cut derrius thompson and chester, that should free up enough money to sign
corey simon! that would make our d-line absoulutely sick!

My concern with Simon is that with the salary he is going to demand, and the resulting cap implications we would suffer if we signed him, we would be limited next year in our search for a legitimate QB. If we draft a QB, then his first year's salary (and cap hit) will be limited by the Rookie Pool, but that would be offset by Ronnies option bonus kicking in, and the year after the rookie QBs salary would escalate. If we decide to go FA QB then we probably wouldnt be able to get any of the top tier guys like Brees or Rivers(if its even possible for SD to release or trade him)
