What do you think is going to happen to Jason Taylor?

After watching Sabans interviews and several comments he has made i have realized that he is very careful with what he says, and i just dont think he would tell everybody including jt personally that hes going to build the team around him and then just dump him like a piece of... If he does he would loose credibility with his team and if i were a player i woulndt trust a word he said after that.

The scenario you described is kind of situation Gruden has in tampa. No one, including fans, players, newspaper, etc believe anything that comes out of Gruden's mouth.

Dude, do you even know what to look for in a 3-4? Saban uses a 3-4. Your looking at the SS LB up on the line, as he should be covering the TE, hence, why he is called a Strong Side LB. They play off the TE's movement. The TE is his primary responsibility. That is why for an O to be effective against the 3-4, you have to have motion, primarily with the TE, to discover the zone/M-to-M matchups.

You obviously have no clue......
says the man who thinks we are using a 3-4 D. :shakeno:

I think Jason Taylor with thrive in the type of defense Saban is installing. He has always been on the small side for a DE. I don't think he will have any problem playing a pass rushing LB at times.

In fact JT is EXACTLY the type of player Saban would want in that position. Imagine the team switching from a base 4-3 to the 3-4 just before the snap. The QB will be forced to make a lot of decisions with very little information. I really think JT will be a monster in this program.

Agreed:evil:

I hope he retires a Fin.
i want him to retire just befor the season starts....
but im not that lucky... :(

but seriously, your going 4-3 75% of the time. thats no reason to cut/trade your probowl DE.

like someone mentioned befor, you will use a base 4-3, and switch to a 3-4 just befor the snap. to do this correctly, as to not tip your hand, you will use the same starters you do for the 4-3. or atleast not take out one of your best players.

the bills did something simmilar, and it worked. teams had to spend time setting up blocking schemes agenst it. and that took time away from other things.

if you want to cut/trade taylor to free up cap space, thats one thing, but it wont have anything to do with the defense you will use 25% of the time.
