What happens with Speilman?

I say keep him as director of scouting *where he excels* and have someone else make the decisions.

That is what I am saying. I dont want him as OUR gm, I said if we let him go he will be a great gm somewhere else. Saban will always have the final say and so far I like it that way.

I personally am all for keeping him because if Feeley is good this year then suddenly Speilman is a genius!

Yeah, that is a complete overstatement. Still, if he is helping us and doesnt mind being simply a figurehead, keep him.

I completely agree. Give him the power to execute, and he gets lost. But with him reporting to someone else who'll make the decisions, he can't cause too much damage. He's definitely got an eye for players... he just doesn't seem to have a very good sense for value.
