What if Ricky sucks **s

It will be fine. Like I said, he is a low risk high gain player.

If he sucks we still have Ronnie Brown.

I am not expecting him to truly get back to form anyway till around midseason. He will have to adjust back into the game first. He may do it slower, faster or he may never get back into it.

Doesn't matter though. He won't be the focal point on offense, so if he sucks he sucks.

:yeahthat:

If Ricky sucks, there is no need to worry. Ronnie Brown is going to have an awesome career with us. I just get all giddy thinking about how powerful our backfield would be with R.W. and R.B. That'd be something to be scared of if you were the opponent.

I wonder if all of the "Welcome back Ricky" people will still be so happy he came back. Most of them just assume that he is going to be a thousand yard back. My theory is that the year off and loss of passion for the game ended that guy. Anyway, when October comes around and he is either hurt or abandones the team or just plain sucks, I will be curious to see how the Ricky people feel about him.
I'll think, "Well, he's still got problems."

NO way, hes a good back look at him in the past hes had one season off he needs to get back into football shape and he will be good to go how can you go to an evry down back to a hasbeen.

The titans brown just broke his hand and is injury prone. Think they might give up a fourth rounder for him? If so he'll be gone in july.

See Lawrence Phillips.

best case scenerio ricky comes back has a good year splitin' time with brown and is traded for a 2nd round pick in the offseason.

Lawrence Phillips was NEVER half the player Ricky was in the NFL.

Here is my take...Ricky should work to earn the 8 million the Phins invested in him....he may never be the Ricky of old but he could still help us out, maybe get some carries backing up Ronnie, or at least mentoring RB on how to carry the ball. That is better than NOTHING. Why are so many of you "glass half empty" guys. Be positive!!!! :D

He won't suck!
He will be a Fin!
For 2 years!
Then retire!
Ronnie takes over!
Not Missing a beat.
Ricky has a real coach now. He dosen't need to carry it 35 times a game, and up the gut every time. Saban will let a guy bounce it outside.
He is @least 200#'s already and has 3 1/2 months to gain 15+more#'s
He was fast at 235, now he will be quicker and more agile.

as long as he's a part of the team, i'll root for him to do well on the football field. since he's a part of the team's history, i'll root for him to get his life together off the field, regardless of what happens on it. does that make me a lesser fan?

what do you want, posing this question? do you want people to make declarations that they will condemn him as a person if he sucks? do you want to feel superior to other people if he sucks on the field? will you dig up this thread and make us all eat crow?

the team was godawful last year. and we're still fans. if the team sucks this year, are we supposed to stop? at what point are we supposed to stop rooting for somebody? someone should set a standard and we could all abide by it.

if he sucks on the field, he won't spend much time on it, so it won't be an issue. if he abandons the team again, saban has a plan for that, i'm sure. he's not staking his professional future on one player.

If ricky sucks, Saban at least took a shot! It is worth the risk. He is only one year removed from football and he is motivated both financially and in wounded pride. Besides, we could use all the offensive fireworks we can get our hands on. Moreover, Saban likes to have two running backs, which makes sense with injuries, cold December games, and A.J. at QB.

I think that season off helped ricky rather than hurt him ... seriously. That is one year less he had to endure getting hit and smashed by the defense. His skills are still there because he has the natural ability .. he may be a little rusty and not the same weight, but remember he could be in the process of doing that now, plus he also has to serve a 4 game suspension.

I don't see any reason why he can't be. He only missed one season and he can still literally "whip" himself into footbal shape.
